It's was peaceful, the host showed us around, despite living in the main house she gave us complete privacy. The barn is central to some nice locations for days out. Winchester, Southampton, Portsmouth and the New forest to name a few.

For me the ultimate perfect location has to have a solid strong quality bed for a night s good and relaxing sleep and clearly all aspects of the Barn were perfect except for the bed, I would strongly advise the owners to invest in a more solid mattress to make the experience a perfect 10 for every one.

Perfect location, great host, every detail of the barn is nicely renovated, kitchen and bathroom are both high tec quality, cosy living room and delightfull views all around inclusive the garden.

Just two minor details: the height of the mirror in the bathroom was quite low and a bit difficult to use; the window of the door in the bedroom did not have blinds/curtains, so it was light in the bedroom quite early in summer.

Very welcoming and helpful hosts, very clean and comfortable place, very well equipped kitchen. It was nice to be able to sit on the terrace overlooking the front garden on the warm days.

The only minor grumbles we have about our stay here involved the bathroom. The height of the mirror was so low that it was hard to use without straining our backs, and we are of average height. And, there is nowhere to put any shower toiletries when showering so they have to sit on the floor - so be sure to bring your own travel shower caddy.

We had a little difficulty finding The Barn but once we arrived Clare's welcome was extremely warm, friendly, and inviting. She immediately showed us into her lovely barn conversion and gave us a walk thru and explanation of how everything operated. On first impression it is obvious how much thought, effort and care has been put into creating and operating this rental accommodation. Everything is immaculate, well organized and thoughtfully furnished. The bedroom and open concept kitchen-living room are both bright, very spacious and comfortable, and provide an abundance of extra touches and comforts. The bathroom is roomy, the shower great, and like everything else, was spotlessly clean. The kitchen is well-equipped, very functional, and was very clean, along with all of the kitchen appliances. The location was perfect as a central base to make day trips into Romsey and to the many other beautiful towns and sites in the surrounding countryside. This is such a lovely rental property that is full of warmth and character....and the barn's exterior gardens are equally beautiful, peaceful, and relaxing. It was so easy to make ourselves at home here, and after 4 nights we didn't want to leave.

The location, facilities and host were excellent. Really enjoyed our time in the peace and quiet of a nice rural hamlet/village. Fantastic host, made us feel so welcome on arrival. The property is great, nice and clean. Definitely recommend for a base close to New Forest.

Finding it was tricky in the dark. Perhaps some form of better directions starting from the war memorial would be sensible. Hosts were on the end of the phone to help so no big deal.

Very spacious and comfortable old barn fully modernised. Decent pub (Wheatsheath) close by, 10 min walk away serving good food, decent beer.
