Very easy to find.Parking outside of property. Very easy check in. Hosts are super friendly. Room was a good size. Very comfy bed and pillows. Good bathroom with a good shower. Plenty of hot water. Plenty of tea, coffee sugar etc and the added bonus of choccy biscuits! One of the best stocked bars I've seen in a B&B and reasonably priced. Didn't have breakfast as I'm not a breakfast person, however, if the packed lunch they provided for me is anything to go by, (see photo) then the breakfast will be awesome!! I travel all over the country with work and If I'm ever in Scarborough again for work, I will definitely try and book here! Honestly one of the best places I've stayed in! Thank you Julie and John for a great night's stay!

The Owners Went to a Lot of Trouble to make us Feel Welcome, Little Things like Bottles of Free water and Little Sweet treats. A bar at a B and B is quite Rare so this too was a Bonus

This B & B is absolutely fantastic. Requested earlier arrival than planned, no issue and a parking permit was provided free of charge. Host John offered to take bags to room, and provided all information required. Breakfast time slots offered which was great, able to choose own. Room spacious and had everything, including, towels, toiletries, refreshments, iron/iron board, TV and hot chocolate. Spotlessly clean. Breakfast exceptional, prepared by John, with fresh quality ingredients, juice cereals, yoghurts, cooked breakfasts, croissants, brie & bacon, beans or egg on toast. Everything brought to you by Julie, so no foods are left out to go dry or open to contamination, being informed we could order extra if required. I am not a drinker (husband is!) and we frequented the bar, each evening after arriving back, sitting chatting to Julie & John along with other guests. This was a really great stay and exceptional Guest house. THANKS JULIE & JOHN

Excellent service, John and Julie couldn't do enough, booking a taxi for us to make sure we reached our show we were visiting for and checking you had everything you needed. Room had a well stocked complimentary tray for our return so we could have a drink and a biscuit. Next morning an excellent breakfast with a comprehensive range was offered. Perfect spot for an overnight Scarborough visit.

Room was a little warm but was the small double so expected and I am a person who not a fan of the heat, but room is just there for sleeping when on holdiay I say..

Lovely b and b and ideally located. Lovely owners, amazing breakfast and very accommodating. Highly recommend and been a visitor to Scarborough every year for past 40 year and stayed at various places this was the best by far. Nice little bar to.

The fantastic hosts John and Julie, breakfast choices were great and tasted fantastic. The rooms were clean, tidy and the tea/coffee making facilities along with complimentary chocolate bars were a lovely touch.

We were made extremely welcome and felt at home straight away! Perfectly located for our first trip to the area. The breakfast was amazing and kept you full all day. Julie and John are great hosts and the small well stocked bar was the focal centre of the property. Thanks for a great time!

The atmosphere continues to be exceptional, John and Julie truly makes staying at the Almar really enjoyable. The have great knowledge of the area and truly are exceptional hosts. It honestly feels like you are staying with family with how warm and welcoming John and Julie are.

We liked everything.

John and Julie were exceptional hosts and provided an excellent breakfast each day we were there. There was an excellent choice for breakfast and it was well cooked by John. We liked the croissants stuffed with brie and bacon especially. It was great being able to have a night cap at the bar before going upstairs.
