We stayed in the suite but to be honest the customers up stairs, you hear every step and bed squeek. It was really loud in our room.

The shower in the my room wasn't great , I'm aware that the building is old and maybe the water pressure isn't as it should be but still my only fault was the water power ...really weak shower.

The room was lovely with a stunning view - it was just very small - but we did book last minute so perhaps that room is left until last. Was a bit hard to navigate space for our cases and us! (To be fair our cases are stupidly big!) The bed was super comfy. Shower wasn’t very powerful. Free parking available right outside. Lovely decor throughout. Would 100% stay here again.

It’s within walking distance of everything, lovely friendly staff, great breakfast!

I felt slightly isolated in room 11, no other bedrooms near me. The room itself was satisfactory and comfortable tho I was reluctant to leave the window open as it was at garden level. I accept that others may not have found these to be issues.

Great location in the middle of St Andrews and was ideal for a golfing visit - as it seemed were many of the other guests. The service was very good and friendly and the breakfast ideal. The room and bathroom were well stocked and very clean, not spacious but ideal for my overnight stay

Just stairs but to be expected in a townhouse

For a last minute booking this far exceeded my expectation, quite a climb to our room but well worth the comfort of the bed and the room which had everything it advertised in it. Breakfast was lovely in the little basement garden room, plenty of fresh fruit and great choices for a hot breakfast too.

Too many stairs for 70 something’s. However I could have asked for a lower level room. That is on me. We were in room 3 at the top.

The electric shower was disappointing, very weak water power.

Being in an old building, it was a little noisy - both internal noise and street noise. Some of the breakfast foods had run out.

It was in a brilliant central location. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Very clean rooms. Lovely decor and a homely feel. The breakfast cooked to order was delicious.

Controls to shower weren’t in bathroom but rather were behind the mirror in the bedroom (with no notice/directions on where controls were or how to use them).

Quaintness of hotel, location, friendliness of front desk staff, b’fast being provided on-site. This really was a lovely, quaint little hotel! Would highly recommend it to golfers.

Room really needed an update. Decor and furniture very old and dingy. Bed and pillows too soft and uncomfortable. Room was very stuffy so I opened the window. Due to large window box with very overgrown plants did not get much fresh air in. This also made the room very dark. While window boxes look very pretty from the outside, I would have been happier to have more light and fresh air and no window box.

The welcome by staff was very nice and was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent. Towels and bedding fresh and clean. Very good location for me as was attending a wedding. Great to have coffee and tea facilities in the room and use of a hairdryer and an iron.

Lights for mirrors would be good, but that’s only because I’m getting old and struggled with my make up. Not a huge issue at all.

Location was perfect, staff amazing and incredible breakfast Also my husband had some mobility issues and they were very helpful in placing us in the lowest level possible … this was very much appreciated

Room was very, very small and difficult to move around. The people in the garden room were outside until 11:30 pm drinking and very loud! We had our windows open because it was hot and couldn’t sleep for the noise. told staff and he said couldn’t do much because they were clients too!
