Pillows too hard for me. No AC in room and it got stuffy. Bath controls tricky

Stunning period building, very well maintained. Spacious car park at rear. Easy access to town and nearby walks. Very friendly staff.

Felt the restaurant meal choices were limited, and there was little choice for special occasions. What was on offer was beautifully cooked but we were there for a special birthday and the restaurant didn't really cater for that to my mind. Sad as the service was top-notch and wine choices great.

Very friendly and helpful staff in all areas of the hotel from housekeeping to front of house. The setting was lovely, rooms were clean and comfortable, bed was gorgeous.

Parking was difficult since there was an event on at the hotel. Floorboards in the room above were very creaky which caused us some issues sleeping. The bathroom was a little old fashioned and could have been better designed to make use of the large space available.

All the staff we encountered were super friendly and a credit to the hotel. The location of the hotel was excellent within easy reach of the town. Facilities for breakfast and the bar were very good also.

Not enough fresh fruit on offer at Breakfast Although there is a lift available there us still a degree of walking to get to your room There is an access door to outside on the ground floor which is very useful

Dining room prices very high although our food was excellent but small portions.

Fantastic location for shops, walking also a trip to Ledbury. Nice coffee in room. Only negative we thought the room needed to be updated especially the bathroom with the dated teak effect trimmings and the dreaded shower curtain! Not a criticism though.

Coffee not brilliant and poor selection of breads. Shower had curtain rather than screen which is old fashioned and not particularly hygienic

Breakfast was generally good. Coffee not good and would have liked to see better selection of breads.

Bathroom could need dome updating with decor but it was clean. Walk in shower would gave been nicer than shower over bath , but its an old historic lovely hotel so expect it takes time to modernise very old building.

Hotel is in a fabulous location next to the Abbey where we were going to a wedding on 14 th Sept . 3 mins Walking distance to shops and restaurants. Lovely old hotel , and comfortable bed, large double bedroom with massive ensuite . Beautiful view of Abbey from bedroom. Breakfast was outstanding and staff very friendly and efficient.

The water pressure in the room on the top floor was very poor, this affected the shower and the length of time it took to have a shower.

Location was great, lovely building right in the centre of Great Malvern. Enjoyed the breakfast, a little more fruit would have been welcome.

The water pressure in our room was awful. I don’t remember this being an issue when we stayed on the other side of the building.

This was our second stay at the Abbey, we love the location and the atmosphere of the building, it’s very special. Initially it was booked up but I checked closer to the date. We haven’t had any issues parking there, when I was looking at other Malvern hotels ,parking wasn’t guaranteed which adds unnecessary stress after a long trip.

We had a basic room. The mattress and pillows were not particularly comfortable. Could really do with a bit of a revamped, especially for the money. Couldn't park in the car park as it was full so had to park on nearby road.

Lovely building in nice handy location. Breakfast was really nice, good quality and choice.

The bed wasn’t so comfortable for us , think the mattress type maybe? The toaster at breakfast takes a little getting used to and seems rather tricky to use and toast not getting stuck. Everything else was super.

Our room was a very good size. The bed was huge, a super king rather than the king size I expected. The bed wasn’t so comfortable. However, we got used to it after the first night. Shower was good and decor pretty good. Location 10/10, everything within walking distance and right next to the Priory. Very pretty setting. Staff lovely. Could not be more helpful. We had dinner in the restaurant on the first night and it was very good. The dessert was huge! Breakfast was very good with plenty of choices. The buffet hot breakfast was replenished regularly so no problems with items running low. The hotel was quiet and the demographic seemed to cater more for middle aged to older people when we visited and this was school holiday time. It felt quite tranquil so very relaxing. The bar area had plenty of places to sit and enjoy a drink and read or chat.

No cheese for breakfast, no beer garden, but beautiful garden in the back would be lovely if it would be access to the bar for at least some lemonade in a hot day.

The restaurant food was excellent, the sitting area was great, very clean, staff very helpful, lift in the hotel.

Little tired round the edges. Needs attention to bring it up to how it probably was a few years ago.

Location. Historical building. Largely furnished in keeping with the age of the building.
