The heated towel rail made the room very hot so we had to have the fan on.

Excellent location especially for visiting Three Counties Showground and the main shops in Malvern. Very quiet during the night. Noisy when we arrived with a dog howling continuously in the room below but we went out for a walk and when we returned it had stopped and didn’t hear it again. Loved the hot and cold breakfast options. Every member of staff was amazing. Excellent customer service.

Room temp was pretty warm even with the radiator turned down. And no plug sockets by the bed at all.

Great location! We had a good breakfast in our room. Rooms were very spacious and had most facilities. But all in all a perfect stay!

The noise in the corridor, and the fire alarm going off but not knowing if it was real or a practise.

The beauty of the hotel outside. The scenery was beautiful.

Training the table staff on how to pour wine would be a good idea. Our wine waiter was enthusiastic but served white wine in red wine glasses by picking up each glass and pouring the wine off the table. Maybe he was worried about spillage. When we asked for additional bottles of wine, he took the order but forgot to deliver the wine.

The room was clean and comfortable. It was west facing so warm in the afternoon but cooled down in the evening. There was no air conditioning. Food in the restaurant was good and the breakfast buffet was very good.

The Abbey is a very traditional hotel and seems to attract an ‘older’ demographic - when we stayed there appeared to be a couple of large groups, and there was a wedding there on the Saturday. However, it remained quiet with no late night revellers.. All the public rooms and our room were very clean and tidy and appeared to have been refurbished. Our bedroom was a good size with a very comfortable firm bed and good pillows. Water pressure was quite low but that’s somewhat to be expected in a hotel of this age, and we were also aware that there had been problems with the water supply on the town during the weekend which may have contributed to this. Breakfast is buffet style - limited continental style meats and cheeses, but ample fruit, cereals and pastries etc. The hot buffet breakfast had a good range of choice and was very carefully monitored and replenished by staff whilst we were there - it was also possible to order poached eggs freshly cooked which I did and they came promptly. The staff were, without exception, friendly and professional and really seemed to want to do a good job. The location is great with lovely views and very convenient for the main shops cafes, the theatre and restaurants. We were able to park without difficulty in their large car park at the rear of the hotel.

Everything was OK some furniture a little worn

The venue was fabulous with a well worn beaten feel like a good pair of loved shoes . The view from the bedroom was incredible and everything felt very comfortable . The staff were top notch , well trained and on the button loading with each other in different departments to make things work in harmony .

We were so disappointed that there were two over bright and insensitively set up security lights in the staff car park opposite which shone straight into our room (432) and were on all night. The curtains did quite a good job cutting out the glare but not completely. The atmosphere and old fashioned gentle lantern lighting around the Abbey is so nice but totally spoiled by these lights. If they could be angled downwards so the light head is almost horizontal they would light up the staff car park without spilling out and up into the rooms. Would have been good to have a free drink each rather than just one!

very comfortable bed and we always like a bath in the room. free drink in return for not requiring housekeeping during our stay.
