Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

AustraliaIn the hallway adjacent to our room there was a very strong unpleasant smell. This smell was not in our room.
Dinner was available in a room adjacent to the bar. Staff were efficient and there was a good selection on the menu and food was good. Breakfast was available in the 'breakfast' room separate to the bar and dining area. Breakfast was varied and was hot and welcoming. Again staff were very efficient and accommodating.

United KingdomLocation was a long way from the regular bus stop because the one I was told to be outside the hotel was rarely used early mornings. The tartan carpet on the stairs was a danger when descending due to the pattern not showing the edge of the step. Staff not available when phoned from the room to come and explain the remote for tv and how it worked
Bar was good / breakfast was as expected/ room was a double and spacious - not often a menu offers liver and bacon
