Would have liked a small fridge or mini bar in room.

Stunning location- lovely and quiet. Hotel has a lovely relaxing vibe and the staff were all cheery and friendly. The food was delicious too. Super touch with the fire pitts outside to enjoy in the evening. Our dogs loved it. Beautful views from most rooms - would recommend a visit here.

We had a wonderful stay in a great room with views of the Loch seeing a pine martin added to the magic. The food was excellent and staff could not do enough to help and look after us. Peaceful location with stunning views.

Whilst the room was a good size and the bed was large we found the mattress a little uncomfortable and the pillows were hard.

The hotel is set in a beautiful setting at the edge of a loch. The food at the hotel was very good and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. There is an Inn about 1.5M from the hotel that also has very good food. Many people there had dogs with them and they had a separate area for guests to eat if they wanted to have their dog with them.

Room was ok but could do with a little TLC...especially in the pillow department, toilet was bit noisy due to plumbing which was probably because it is such an old building. The food was good, not outstanding. Apart from that nothing to dislike.....

Everything was good, service, food, location. Hotel set in a lovely location and it does have those little added touches as in sitting outside on the lochside in the evening with fire lit, a cosy wrap and a glass of wine. Best bit is there's nothing else at the end of the road but the hotel and the loch...no traffic for miles. Due for some refurbishment soon and this hotel will be hard to beat for a quiet time away....with nice food (which could have up'd its mark slightly) and excellent service.

Restaurant dinner was OK but did not shine, needs a little more thought and passion to lift it to the next level. But otherwise nothing negative to say about this charming hotel.

Breathtaking location on the shores of Loch Awe, friendly staff, a comfortable hotel, lots to do, very dog friendly, a great place to relax and ponder the meaning of life, write a best seller novel, figure out how to make the world a better place for all, contemplate your next choice of whisky, debate the merits of haggis over black pudding and perhaps go wild swimming but then again perhaps not.

The only disappointment was items ran out at breakfast quickly

We were very lucky to be upgraded to the suite which was amazing..It was like having your own apartment with a hall , lounge ,bedroom and bathroom with enormous spa bath . If you have some spare pennies we'll worth it for a treat .The location is magnificent on the edge of Loch Awe..They have an excellent restaurant on site with an exciting and local menu.

Our mattress was not very good. We suspect it was quite old.

A destination hotel. We stayed just one evening and that probably isn't the best way to enjoy this property. There are fantastic views, make sure you climb the hill and enjoy the view from the top.

The cost of staying was considerably more than when we stayed here in September last year. However, this did not put us off in booking again for stay in May. We were given the bonus of an upgrade to a loch view room.

Such an incredible facility. Made very welome. Staff very friendly and helpful.

The hotel is a good 30 minutes off the main highway if you’re heading to Oban or Skye or back to Glasgow. It’s on a tiny B Rd., which means only one-way traffic in some spots. So driving for a foreigner is a bit tiring but it’s a lovely drive and then you are well rewarded when you see the destination across the lake.

It’s on an exquisite location on the side of Loch Awe. There are little paths around the hotel to private wee spots and nooks on the rocks or in the woods with a little bench or table, where you can update your diary, or look at the scenery, or meditate on the beauty of the place. The trees around are filled with birds And you can hear the soft lowing and bleating from a little farm across the way. We were there at the end of May and of course the sunset takes about four hours and doesn’t finally go down until past 11 so you can sit out at the wee fire pits, sipping your wine or scotch looking at the lake. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. All amenities are offered. and our dinner was just delicious. There’s a very well stocked bar and many lounges with fireplaces.
