Slightly out-of-town hotel just two minutes' walk from Cambridge rail station. No particular character but lovely comfortable rooms with all necessary facilities and brilliantly placed for an early departure by train!

Two things (that I told the staff). In the bathrooms there are no soaps, but dispensers of soap. They didn't work correctly, so it was hard to use them for showers. Second, the king bed was very short!! I'm tall (but not that much) and most of my legs beneath my knees were outside the bed. I felt it strange since the bed was brand new and very large.

That's was my second time to the Clayton. I found it very good for Cambridge. Convenientely located near the station, the hotel is big, clean with rooms that are more than adequate to the price paid. Breakfast is fine and the staff is friendly. I suggest it.

Great location - close to train station and city centre. Really clean and modern. The room was immaculate. Loved the little touches like complimentary water and biscuits. Lots of room. Bed was lovely and comfortable.

The hotel was silent from the second we stepped in , the staff were very friendly. The room was a very good size , the bed was so comfortable, best night sleep I’ve had in a while. The bathroom was also very modern and spacious. Overall the room was super clean and we had a great stay.

The only thing I didn’t like was the fact that the hairdryer in my room didn’t work properly. I changed plug sockets, this didn’t help. It ran only in short blasts which nearly resulted in me running late for a meal that evening. Other than that there was nothing I didn’t like about the property.

The property was lovely, location was good as my partner and I enjoyed the walk into town each day. The decor inside was lovely and made the property feel even more homey and designer. The bed was super comfy and facilities in the room up to scratch.

The large beds seemed to be two beds joined together, there was an uncomfortable parting down the middle which was annoying, I also wish they offered halal breakfast options.

Upto date decor and well maintained, the rooms were spacious and the bathrooms were wonderful as well

I do not recommend it for staying more than 3 nights in a row. The breakfast is exactly the same day to day. The variety of products/dishes for the breakfast is quite limited representing mostly typical British breakfast, very fat with lack of proteins and vagitables. Also, which is not easy to explain for me, the bathroom is lacking the toilet brush. Which makes you stay as a couple very awkward and inconvenient.

During the 10-day trip to the UK, I stayed at this hotel 3 times with the same room type, only on the first stay I got a room with a broken telephone and kettle.

Sumptuous meal with hot buffets, unfortunately, the menu is the same every day. Good location with convenient transportation. The room is comfortable and worth the price.

Absolutely brilliant hotel. Would highly recommend. The check in was so easy and professional. A lovely surprise with receiving an upgrade for my birthday. The room was lovely, very clean, the bed was so comfortable, the bathroom was brilliant, with rituals shower gel, always nice to have. The balcony was brilliant, it was so peaceful and quiet. The breakfast was tasty, hot and delicious - plenty to choose from. The hotel is located 5 minute walk from the railway station and about a 25 minute walk to the centre of Cambridge Our first visit to Cambridge and would definitely return and would return to Clayton Hotel too. Thank you for all the staff, very polite and helpful
