Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaNot a huge deal but note that you do have to hand in your key when you leave and pick up from the 24 hour front desk when arriving back at hotel. That's fine but if the desk person goes to the bathroom you might be waiting outside for a few minutes, which isn't always ideal. Note there isn't AC, so the rooms can be a a little on the warm side. Also I stayed here twice and one room was definitely nicer than the other, even at same price. One room had a table, the other didn't. The second room also had a combined shower/toilet set up, similar to a bathroom you might find on a cruise line or train, very very compact. That all being said, this is a much cheaper option than other hotels in the area and I would stay here again.
Location is pretty convenient by St Pancreas train station, there is an elevator, room was clean

GermanyThe first room we got had mold in the bathroom. We weren’t exited about that. But we told the staff and they got us another room almost immediately.!they were so understanding and so nice!
I really liked the staff. They were really nice. Lovely people! The hotel is not far from King’s Cross station which is great. The breakfast is cute and affordable. But I would‘ve loved some type of milk alternative! (Oat or soy)

New ZealandIt was a little noisy with the windows open on the road side of the building. The reception and front entrance is probably due an upgrade soon. Just a little tired but other than that all was fine.
Bedroom was clean and recently decorated. The bed was comfortable. Decent price for being near King’s Cross, Eurostar and a bus stop for Blackfriars. Towels changed everyday … the cleaner did a great job… staff on reception all the time which made it feel more secure.

United KingdomUnfortunately a neighbouring property (not associated to the hotel) had a party going on until past 3am and our room overlooked their garden and the windows didn't block any noise. My sister slept through it but I am a light sleeper and was exhausted. Luckily the lovely reception staff moved me to a single room where I could barely hear the noise so I finally got some rest!
The room was small but comfortable and clean. Nicely decorated and it had everything we needed. The staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. Good location, about 10 minute walk from Kings Cross.

CanadaThe shower head looked old and rusty, and the shower cubicle was pretty small. I was surprised to see the room has a metal key on a keychain instead of a modern key card. The (large) key would be inconvenient to carry around - actually guests are asked to leave their key at reception when they go out and pick it up when they come back. This is easy enough because the reception desk is staffed 24h, and as I said the staff are very friendly. Still the whole thing seemed a bit outdated to me.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was pretty good - a short walk (about 10 minutes) from train stations and Underground stations. The continental breakfast was nice although there wasn't much to choose from. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

Incredibly kind and helpful staff. Good value for your money in central London. Walking distance from King's Cross St. Pancras. Good breakfast. Coffee and tea in your room. Good pubs, shops and restaurants a stone's throw away. Clean bathrooms.

United States of AmericaThere is no warning when carpeted step in halls suddenly goes down or up. You can't see it, particularly in evening light. I fell and skinned my elbow, and hurt my back on a Friday. Was told the manager would reach out to me on Monday. That didn't happen. They haven't renovated in a long time. Floors in hall are spongy. Ask for a garden side room, street side is very noisy, very early. Also, ask for a room with a shower door or you will get one where it goes into the bathroom and the door to the bathroom is peeling apart.
The staff does their utmost to please you. It's very clean, and the rooms are small but cute. The single rooms are small but arranged well.

United KingdomCurtains are way too thin & let in too much light. Take a mask if you want to sleep. Also, the pillows are too few, and don’t offer enough support (spoken as a side-sleeper).
Ideally located just a short walk from St Pancras & Euston stations. Also, the enclosed garden at the back was an enjoyable place to relax and eat our deliveroo-delivered fish & chip supper! Friendly, helpful staff too.
