    - Very soft pillows! Took >6 hours to get extra pillows delivered to room. - Early check-in not possible despite message prior stating that he could. - Not a true double bed. - Weak shower. - A bit expensive.

    - Parking available on site at discounted rate. - Close proximity to town centre. - Free wifi. - Pub & restaurants on site with 10% off as hotel guest.

The room got a bit hot, even with heating off and air flow maximum. I guess from the temperature in the corridors that the ground floor rooms are cooler. We got a space in the car park but it was probably the last (at 3pm on a sunny Saturday). We thought that if we'd wanted to take the car out there might not then be a space when we returned. On Sunday night there was plenty of room.

The staff were friendly and quick to help. The room was a good size, with space to sit at a small table as well as the desk. The bed was very comfortable. The hotel is in a great location for the centre of Stratford and the theatre (via the pedestrian bridge).

We unfortunately got woken up by people talking in room next to us, between 1 and 2a.m. Everything else was perfect 👌

The receptionist was very helpful and welcoming. The room was in a quieter part of hotel as we had requested and the room was very comfortable.

The staff are excellent. I stupidly left my sponge bag in the bathroom, and didn't discover until we were back in London. The receptionist located the bag, and offered to take it to the post office to arrange a return. Very comfortable hotel. Incidentally, loved the rain shower.

Unfortunately, on this occasion, it would appear that lack of communication between the reception staff and the restaurant staff was exceedingly prominent. We were part of a group of 8 close friends who gather on a particular date each year for very personal reasons. We requested a table to accommodate us all for breakfast (in particular) but, Unfortunately this was not relayed to the restaurant. It not only happened to us on two occasions but to other residents also. Breakfast on our last day was incredibly late - from eventually taking orders to it arriving at the table - so much so, one couple of our party had to leave without eating as they had an appointment they needed to attend. A complaint was made to the restaurant manager highlighting our disappointment but nothing was suitably resolved. One couple's air con could not be adjusted or switched off and had to call maintenance late at night - in fact, she had trouble getting the attention of the night receptionist as he was too busy on his mobile phone. Another gentleman came to help but it certainly wasn't fixed. He just turned it off, so they were left with nothing for the rest of the duration. The Swan's Nest was our personal recommendation and it was noted by all that the price has increased greatly from last year but the overall level of service has fallen somewhat. The hotel manager was informed and was deeply sorry for our experience.

We've stayed at Swan's Nest on several occasions - mainly because the location is excellent and we've been looked after very well on those occasions- hence our last visit. The majority of the staff are courteous, polite & helpful.

A bit old-fashioned. Like it was furnished by your grandmother. And I’m 81 ! The on-site bar is also in need of a face-lift. It’s quite depressing.

The room air conditioning was faulty and we could not turn it off or amend the temperature, it was blasting out very cold air, I phoned reception at 11.30 pm to ask for help, no answer, got dressed and went to reception to find a young man transfixed to his mobile phone😖, I told him what the problem was and another man told me to take out the card!! I explained that if I did that we would have NO power in the room, so he came out to the room and finally managed to turn it off, no one came to fix this the following day and was not fixed even before we left , We arrived for breakfast on Sunday morning @ 08.50 giving us plenty of time to have our prepaid breakfast before we had to leave @10.15, how wrong was we, at 10.15 we had to check out and leave without breakfast!! When we checked out we were told, that we could have free parking for our inconvenience Unfortunately we didn’t have time to argue and said fine We have stayed here before but this year had to pay£8 per night to park the car, this was included last year

The location and staff was exceptional as ever as this is not the first time we have stayed there, our evening meal at the Bistro Pierre was great and May was a fantastic host and server too

The hotel is a little tired in places and the room could have done with a refresh. My room hadn't been serviced by 1.30 pm when I returned for a rest after exploring so I was forced to leave the 'do not disturb' sign out and forego a clean. All rooms should be serviced before noon in my opinion. My main concern was security. Many exterior doors to the back and side of the hotel were left unlocked and, at times, were propped open. As a lone female with a ground floor room close to these doors, this made me feel a little vulnerable. Security needs improving.

Great location across the river from the RSC. Very comfortable stay and friendly staff.

The bedroom facilities were badly organised. The tea/coffee making facilities were in the wardrobe space. There was no nearby plug for the kettle so we had to put the kettle on the floor to use a plug. The wardrobe doors did not slide smoothly and nearly fell off! There was a dreadful screeching noise on and off during the night, which woke me up with a fright. The shower was very slippery and dangerous, there was no handle to hang on to to stop you from slipping. There was only one very slow coffee machine in breakfast which led to queues to make coffee. The avocado on toast was horrible - just like green slime with a poached egg on top. Position was ok a 5-10minute walk to the centre.

The friendliness of the staff. Liked the fact that hot breakfast was ordered and served, not a buffet.

The breakfast was above expectations and our room was spotlessly clean throughout our stay. The staff were warm and welcoming. The location of the hotel was ideal. We parked the car in the car park when we arrived and did not use it again until we left. Everywhere we wanted to go was within walking distance from the hotel.
