The horrible vile toilet smell that was coming through my bedroom door 🤮 was informed there had been a leak and the carpet smelt...should close that floor or change carpet

The kettle in our bedroom leaked but not sure if that was my partner or the kettle 🤔 😅, the bathrooms were clean but looked dirty due to what I think looked like a stain in the sink but I'm not faulting it still worked as it should.

Lovely hotel, as soon as we entered our room the heating was on so was great considering this cold weather at the moment, secure parking but i would arrive early to get a space as it isnt a massive car park we were lucky to get one, train station down the street, 10 minute walk into town centre, off licence shop up the road open 24 hours, takeaways a short walk away, comfortable bed, rooms were clean and spacious. The Night Porter was a lovely man . Overall, a great night will definitely be stopping here again

Hotel very warm as all heating was on . Also it needed a handrail to hold onto to get out of bath/shower

Large spacious room clean and tidy. We had a very clean bathroom with a large corner bath. The staff we met were very friendly and efficient. We had breakfast included in price of room it was a buffet style with lots of choice of continental and cooked options

Lots of stairs to access room, there is a lift but still some stairs to do not a problem for me but might be for others.

Our room was directly over reception, at 4.30 am the radio was turned on, could hear quite clearly. Staff very apologetic and helpful and this didn't happen again.

Excellent location for the trains. Very comfortable beds. Very clean. Ironing board hairdryer both supplied. Spacious room.

There is no enough signs to the rooms. There is smell in the room, typical in a building of this age. Some air fresher will help. The furniture needs updating. Only breakfast and light snacks are served in the hotel. It would be better if other meals are available or more food available on the menu.

This is the third time i stay at this hotel. it is just off the Derby Train Station and near to the conference venue. It is very convenient for traveller. The reception and bar areas seem renovated since my last stay at the same time last year. On the whole the hotel is clean and nicely kept. The room is spacious and in a quiet location as i have requested, but this room is not wheelchair accessible. We ate at a nearby restaurant in the evening. The food is good.

Interior little dated on the hotel side compared to the bar area, but think slowly doing the place as the lift has been redone since last visit

It is a shame that the check in desk also has duties serving at the bar as this causes some delay in the evening when the bar is busy. This is explained in a notice on the reception desk so I knew what to expect once I arrived, but I did not know before getting there so it caused me some delay to a subsequent meet up. There was also some noisy plumbing near my room, but overall I got a good night's sleep so it didn't matter in the end.

The location is excellent for the railway station. The room was clean and comfortable. The reception staff were helpful and friendly. The breakfast was good
