Our room was right next to mains water pump so every time someone flushed their toilet the pump started up very noisy and woke us up so did not get a good sleep at all. The bar would also not take cash and only card.

We were there for a wedding and stayed for one night in the courtyard. The room was lovely and spacious. The main hotel itself was lovely and grand and very clean.

breakfast ...and all food served there was less than palatable Evidently it was the jewel of the area for many years...fantastic food....but now the hotel is geared towards bus tour groups for older adults and the quality of food and taste is for someone with no taste buds left in their mouth. It was actually disgusting. I would not recommend this place if you are a foodie or if you don't have a car to drive somewhere for food. Seriously! Also, the bar was never open. The coffee and tea were not good. The rooms were hard to navigate to also. Lots of back passages to get to my room. I am not is ideal health and it was difficult.

I liked the cows in the paddock.

This is the second time we have visited . Food is good but menu could be bigger or perhaps specials added to give more variety. Think it was the same menu as a year ago .

Iron leaked, cupboard door of tv cabinet fell off during the night waking us. Handprints on the room windows and it would have been nice to have more pillows. Zero alcohol beer was £4.65 per bottle which is expensive.

Needs a little updating the floorboards in the bedroom are very squeaky, and some of the carpets on the staircases are loose in places which could cause an accident.

Hotel very clean and the staff were excellent, particularly the restaurant staff. Food was very good and the atmosphere around the hotel was very relaxing.

Not much really, altough, in the courtyard rooms the water pump kept kicking in throught the night and this can be disturbing. Also, the wash basin took an age to empty. but these are very minor and didn't interfere with staying at the hotel.

Nice hotel, would be a great place in summer when you could take a walk in the grounds. Friendly helpful staff and the rooms were clean and comfortable.

We stayed here last year and was so impressed we booked again this year. The rooms were very spacious and loved the choice of bath and shower. After a hard days golf soaking in a bath was just what I needed

We found a bandaid stuck to the bed cover in the morning which didn't impress!! We weren't aware that we would be in an outside building rather than the actual hotel, so were caught off guard getting to the room in the rain when we had left all our rain protection in the car.

Beds were very, very hard. No glasses, in case you wanted to have a drink in your room. No bar fridge.

Lovely room. Elevator for our luggage helped as it was the fourth floor.

Staff!!! Friendly, helpful and accommodating. The grounds were well kept. We stayed in two different rooms. Both we roomie and clean. Restaurant staff was prompt and friendly. Location was near the town and walking trails.
