Great breakfast but self service which was jammed into a corner. Only one toaster and if you didn't grab croissant as they came out you had to do without. One of the morning only one coffee machine working

We just don’t like the change for the baby cot which is £6.00 for a night and it was even not comfortable or great for kids.

What a lovely hotel I am so glad I found it and gave it a try. The room was lovely and very clean. We enjoyed the pool and location was great just in front of the beach!

The single room was adequate for me however the shower room was tiny! Part of the bar was shut off for a private event for 2 days/2 evenings and i wasn't aware that I would not be able to have a hot meal in the bar while the airshow was on (only sandwiches available). Also was not allowed to use the outdoor pool facility in the sister hotel due to their airshow event. Disappointing as the weather was really warm!

The location of the hotel was perfect to watch the airshow from. The staff were all excellent. Nice bar area and indoor pool.

The focus on upgrading the rooms is obviously the priority, but the main walk ways as a result still look a bit tired. Didn't effect us in any way and expect that this will get done soon.

The rooms are being upgraded and whilst some old furniture was still in the room, the key things you would hope they'd focused on are excellent. For example we had a completely new bathroom with an excellent shower, and the bed was extremely comfortable.

The room was very stuffy, very outdated and in need of new carpets etc.

The location was fantastic and being able to use the next door hotel's outdoor pool was great. The breakfast was nice. The indoor pool and facilities were good.

The pool was over crowded which was understandable due to it being the summer holidays, it didn’t stop us having fun!

We picked this hotel as party of our mini break and we were visiting Go Ape and Dorset water park. The fact that the hotel had a pool was one of the main reasons for choosing the hotel The bed was very comfortable, we booked 2 double rooms (family of four) we did dad and son and mum and daughter. There were no family rooms available at the time of booking.

Entering a maze to find your room and not knowing that parking was not included with my booking.

Location was great! Quick walk down to the beach. Breakfast was lovely but made even nicer as a staff member had excellent service (did not get name, but lady with short redish hair). Would stay again.

Room windows did not open far so room was rather warm. An air conditioning unit was on but was not very effective at all. Breakfast sausages were rather dry. Pool water was very cold.

Room was clean. Bed was comfortable. Towels were soft. Nice that extra towels were provided for the pool. Good that parking near to the hotel was available. Excellent location for air show.

The outdoor pool was a little bit too cold for me. The service in the italian cafe could have been better. They didn't bring over the sachets of condiments to the table. They also served burnt fries to my friend. They should have made up a fresh lot.

The comfortable sundowners and the relaxing background music at cumberland hotel swimming pool. The conservatory area facing the sea front was nice. Also the comfortable seating in the suncliffe hotel bar.

Hotel was in a great location for the beach and a relatively easy walk from the train station. Staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast was nice and good value for money. Overall a good experience

The staff in restaurant were quite rude and it felt like we were doing them a favour being there, one particular man who worked there seemed to upset one of the holiday makers, such a shame!

Location was fab and reception staff were very helpful. Really enjoyed the 3 days we stayed, nice happy pub staff!

GENERAL: In some places the decor looked a little worn ie. some carpeting along the corridors. Condensation within the double glazing of some of the windows. ROOM: The two chairs in our room looked very worn on the seat and let the overall look of the room down. The chairs could have been replaced so that they colour matched the cupboards, to unify the look of the room. Walls were a little on the thin side so noises from the corridor/next door rooms could be heard. BATHROOM: The shower cubicle was a little small and could have had a small shelf inside. It was a tight squeeze to bend down to pick up toiletries! The main bathroom door kept rattling, when closed, because of the breeze from the open window so needed wedging with paper, to reduce noise at night.

LOCATION: The hotel was in close proximity to the station so was walkable for initial arrival. It was about a 10 min walk down to the beach which was great! Lovely sea views from the front of the hotel, bus stop almost across the road if it was needed. The inhouse facilities were numerous: sauna, indoor heated pool, squash courts, restaurant and bar with snooker table. My friend and I used the indoor pool and spent some time in the little bar area, playing snooker. Enough for our indoor entertainment requirements. BREAKFAST: We chose not to purchase the breakfast option as we did not want to be tied to a time scale and decided to spend more time enjoying the beach! It was great that the hotel was part of the Ocean Collection Group so facilities from the other hotels were available for us to use eg outdoor pool, Italian cafe, spa etc. ROOM: The wallpaper has a pleasant theme and there was enough storage cupboards et. The beds were comfortable enough, to ensure a good night's sleep. Tea/coffee making facility was sufficient for our needs.
