Shower over the bath as curtain didn't contain all the water.

Well equipped kitchen and good location in interesting town.. Sitting area was comfortable with excellent TV. Lovely view over part of High Street and Quay side. We had come to explore Burnham as two of us shared 19th century ancestors from this area.

Situated very conviently in the heart of Burnham on Crouch. Beautiful location with easy access to river walks, great cafes and pubs, lovely shops and good takeaways.

In hot weather the property is very warm, this is through no fault of the owners just the type of property it is.

Flat 1 at Temperance House is a beautiful and characterful conversion. It is spacious, light, incredibly well equipped, tastefully furnished and comfortable. Centrally located, it is just a stone's throw from the estuary, pubs, restaurants and the 'Best Fish and Chip Shop in Essex'! Parking in the town is free and plentiful. Before and during our stay, hosts Dee and Jerry were very communicative and helpful. A BIG thank you to you both. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wished it could have been longer.

The third bedroom is very small and with having a double bed in, there is no room for a bedside table/ bedside light.

Fabulous apartment, had everything you could possibly need. Great facilities and a perfect place to stay for a long weekend or even longer.

Couldn't get the aircon to work, but that was probably more our fault than the machine or hosts!

The apartment was lovely and very spacious - stylishly decorated with all mod cons and a view of the sea.

One of the best apartments I have stayed in. Hosts very welcoming and had a book full of Q & A for all guests I did not come with any children but the apartment was baby proof which is a very nice touch Place was spacious, clean and well decorated.

Hosts were very pleasant and helpful. Apartment had everything we needed. Burnham was lovely in the summer sunshine. Although there is no parking in the property the street parking is pretty easy with just a few steps to the apartment.

There is nothing that I could say that could have been better.

The property was clean and spacious and very nicely fitted out with lovely furniture.They have everything you need for your stay. The location is excellent as is the river view from the property. The hosts were excellent, before during and after the stay and there if you needed them. The kitchen is ready with some essentials so you can have a lovely hot drink on arrival. Nothing to grumble about at all.

It's a beautiful, very comfortable, spacious apartment. Huge amount of thought gone into the decor and all the little touches for an enjoyable stay. And the back courtyard is being landscaped which will make it even nicer.

The only thing (and I’m being picky here, as this place was brilliant) was I suppose it would have been nice to have some outside space. But with the river and sea wall in view from the window, it really doesn’t matter that you can’t sit outside. There are pubs all around and lovely walks abound in the immediate vicinity.

We were absolutely delighted with everything at Temperance House. Dee went over and above to ensure our weekend was wonderful and the accommodation was faultless. A fantastic apartment that looks fabulous in the photos, but which is even better in the flesh! Central to Burnham with a peaceful view over to the river, Temperance House is extremely comfortable, spacious, brilliantly equipped and just the perfect base from which to enjoy your holiday. We shall certainly be back. 🙂

Absolutely nothing!

I have never stayed in such amazing accommodation! The flat was absolutely beautiful with no expense spared. Everything we needed (and more) was provided I cannot wait to return.

Temperance House are scammers, a little over a week after our stay, they tried to charge us more. Even though we booked for 6 people, we didn't have the 6th person staying until the last night at the property, because they saw the 6th person on the last night they tried to charge us extra. Tried to explain but they were accusatory and rude, never staying with them again and telling everyone we know. Avoid!
