Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomWiFi wasn't great and no TV in living room to watch a family movie. But we brought board games and spent our evenings chatting which was the upside. 👍
Everything! Oh I loved that there was an electric car charger at the front door, otherwise I wasn't getting home!

United KingdomDuring our stay, sadly the WiFi signal was not suffient to extend to the back bedrooms [but also O2 wasn't working great either so it might be a known issue to the owners and/or a temporary issue that effected our stay only].
Really lovely properly in a fantastic location. Very comfy beds and a wonderful living space with an open plan dinning and living room area. The owners where super response to questions and have kitted out the property with everything you need for a fab stay. I would stay again for sure.

United KingdomWater pressure in the shower very low, just a dribble really and either scalding hot or freezing. Only one bathroom without a separate loo would not be adequate if 6-8 people were staying as advertised No wifi in the bedrooms which was a bit of a nuisance

United KingdomThrough no fault of the owner, there is a poorly defined disabled parking area just outside the front door. Two spaces or so. And on our last day got a leaving present of a parking ticket. So take that into consideration.
The house itself is warm and homely. You have plenty of comfy seating, including a rotating round seat at the front bay window, with a stunning view out over the waves, which was more beautiful on two of our evenings, with the moon glowing on the shimmering surf. The dining area forms part of this sizable room, with a large table, comfy chairs and round hessian style place mats. The lighting is nice and dim, giving a relaxed restaurant vibe. We even made use of the handy Bluetooth speaker, to provide music to suit the theme of dining out. The kitchen was well kitted out, with glassware, utensils etc. The ice and popcorn makers worked a treat. Also, storage-wise, there was enough shelf room under the breakfast bar for our short stay. No freezer with the little fridge, but it wasn't really necessary and left room for more wine etc. The cinema room has a great big telly, for Netflix, iplayer and other apps are available. It doubled as a bedroom on this occasion, for our daughter, who lapped it up, feeling right at home. On through, there is a super bathroom, with a great walk-in shower and large Tahiti shower head. Also a bath with mixer shower head if you just want to wash your hair. The water was roasting, so take care. There are 2 great mirrors also. A large round one that lights up and a smaller double sided one for magnifying. The two bedrooms were fit for purpose, with a mirrored slide robe in one and a rail in the other. The one with the sliderobe in, also has a hair dryer and straighteners. In warmer weather, you can make use of the back patio area.

United KingdomCurtains wouldn't pull to close and too high to fix them (main room) It would have been nice to have a television in the main room if only for the news Lighting was too dim in main room making it difficult to read (and for my husband who is blind but light makes a difference) No handrail for disabled to get up and down steps at front Disappointed with patio (would have needed a bit of a pick me up) where the sun never reached Q

IrelandA couple of suggestions: There were not enough sockets in the bedroom, so there was no bedside lamp on my side of the bed. Some more mugs would be welcome. Apart from that, the kitchen was very well stocked.
We loved: Exceptional view. Great location, close to restaurants and shops. Lovely, big living space. Cinema room. Check- in was easy. Popcorn machine and ice maker were a big hit with the kids. We managed to get on-street parking every day after our trips, on the same street as the accommodation.

United Kingdomthe WiFi wasn't very strong and only worked in the living room, but no big deal
Beautiful house, very well equipped with everything you could possibly need. Loved the ice maker so handy during these exceptionally lovely days. Was very pleased to find hair straighteners as I forgot mine. Lovely wee garden, the entire house was very tastefully decorated. Host was in touch with all the relevant information, the bottle of wine left on arrival was a nice touch!

IrelandI liked almost everything. Just the Internet doesn't work in the rooms and the beds could be more comfy. Otherwise, the apartment is perfect.
We are a family of six. The location of the house is perfect. It is right in front of the sea and a perfect base to see all the attractions around especially the Antrim coast. The house was very clean and comfortable and has all the necessary amenities and toys for children. It has plenty of space for children to run around and play. It has a popcorn machine and ice-maker. I'll highly recommend.

United KingdomWifi is a little iffy beyond the main living areas.
Super location with stunning views. The flat it brilliantly placed for restaurants and the very important Harbour Bar! It has a spacious living area with all the amenities you need. Beautiful open fire which was welcome as it was particularly cold weather during our stay, although the central heating was also very effective too. Made great use of the ice maker for drinks and loved the coffee filter machine too. Brilliant hosts who were more than happy to accommodate us.
