it is a shame that a stair lift could not be added (sympathetic to the overall style) for those of us who find stairs very painful and who were unaware/unable to book a garden room. Also, on the first night the kitchen closed early due to 5 bookings that did not show up, meaning the only food I could get was a Deliveroo pizza from Pizza Hut 😢

Shower/toilet room was starting to fall apart due to ill fitting door leaking water and shower base starting to come loose.

Comfortable bed, nice country atmosphere. Peaceful and quiet with good food and helpful amiable staff.

Everything needs updating; worn out carpets, chipped paint, missing drain covers in sink ( = smell of drains in room ) door sticks so you’re obliged to slam it to close disrupting your neighbours, counters in bathroom water damaged, thick mismatched caulking in toilets, cheap door furniture. Printer sitting on crate on the floor in reception, improvised wheelchair ramp which is falling apart at reception threshold.

There was no fridge in there any more it used to be there. Also there was no hot water for the bath at 5am

Had Queen Ann Suite, whilst it was a great size, with beautiful features with stunning view it decor looks very tired and some areas / item needed repair. Had room service 1st night pots from room service not removed, no iron in room. Milk and tea / coffee not replenished. Bed ( mattress and pillow) not to our liking ( though that's an individual preference item) No noticeable EV charging point.

Location, stunning, staff very helpful convenient for Windsor Castle / horse show. Food was beautiful and dining room staff were very attentive. Beautiful walk around the grounds.

Although an upgrade to a ‘Junior Suite’ seemed ok for an extra £40 the room seems over graded. Large yes, nice bathroom, but very old building and sash windows can’t be opened to get well needed fresh air, (no a/c) and floor slopes into a dip which puts the bed on a slope as well. Quirky, yes, but not worth the grade or money. Fire alarms kept going off from 815am, 4 times, every 10 mins.A very limited and muted apology offered but lacking in customer commitment. Pity after purpose of room was to rest after a massive week and late night!

My only disappointment was a service phone going off throughout the night (in the next room, which I believe was an unattended staff room). Intermittent alarm bell resulted in a restless night. Not the best when you've an early start and a long day ahead of you! But couldn't fault the hotel and it's service.

Decoration seemed a little tired, facilities were limited, would be nice to have in the bedroom a more up to date flat screen TV, coffee machine, a few biscuits. Larger choice of continental breakfast and restaurant food.

Wednesday 20th march, Izzy had a day off. different staff on. Service was slow. Constantly got the wrong order and overcharged on the bill. Had to correct twice

The room was very,very tired and needs refurbishing- the furniture and the woodwork were very battered. The shower tray was so grimy that I chose not to use the shower. The young lady on reception as I arrived was very welcoming and charming, and told me I had been upgraded. If this room was the upgrade, the original room would have been disappointing, though the pricing was very reasonable.Better not to have told me it was an upgrade as it raised my expectations.

The location and the grounds were lovely. The price was so reasonable for the area that I did not have high expectations.

Beautiful location but comes with faults - floorboards very creaky. So much we could hear next door. Geese were also very noisy although I know this is not avoidable. Breakfast buffet was quite underwhelming but the cooked food was brilliant.

Based on my last experience staying here the room only cost felt over priced for what I got. Avoid ‘double room’ in the main house. The room i had was very cramped, literally in the top attic space at the very end of a wonky corridor, paper peeling from the sloping ceiling, very hot in the night, no windows that opened. On this stay alone I wouldn’t return sadly just wasn’t value for money or a pleasant or comfortable stay I’m afraid.

As a returning customer the location was perfect for my needs.
