United KingdomAs the Ashley suite is situated on the ground floor and the front of the flat looks out onto the main road, there is quite a lot of noise from outside.
Accommodation is as described, we stayed in the Ashley suite. Would highly recommend this place. The host was great in communication and provided clear instructions.

United KingdomYou could hear quite a bit of footfall from the apartment above and the grill tray in the oven could possibly do with being replaced as we found it quite rusty. A small coffee table near the comfy chairs would be a bonus as well as some hanging space in the smaller bedroom, as there was no where to hang clothes in this room.
We were staying in the Ashley Suite, which was a two bedroomed ground floor apartment. The apartment was well appointed and had everything needed for our weekend stay visiting family. Ample off-street parking available. Dog friendly. We would definitely use again when in Basingstoke visiting family. Much more comfortable than staying in a Travelodge!.

United KingdomThe PIR light in the hallway didn't work (bulb not working). Another light had to be left on for entering after dark. The washing machine had some wet towels left in it. The pull out wire tray in the dishwasher was broken making it very difficult to use. The decoration is getting a bit tired in places and could do with a freshen up.
Location was good for the people we were visiting and close enough to War Memorial Park for walking the dog. Easily accessible off road parking close to the property was a bonus. The rooms in the property were a good size. The kitchenette was reasonably well equipped, with a washing machine in the bathroom cupboard. The heating / hot water system was excellent. Given it's fairly central location the property was reasonably quiet.

Very nice interior and the flat is in a good location. We appreciated the tea, coffee and biscuits on arrival, great bathroom and the bedrooms are quiet.

United KingdomI was disappointed we were placed in a different property to Sterling house. We have stayed before at Sterling house and this why we booked. There is no parking at alternative property. Parking was main reason for booking, the available parking costs at local car part that are quoted on property details are incorrect and need updating. Also the slats on one if the beds collapsed, we managed to fix ourselves but they need to be secured correctly.
Well presented and mostly comfortable. Everything needed was provided. Great for our needs.

United KingdomThere really wasn’t anything we disliked. The main areas, kitchen, bathroom, beds, etc, were all clean, but if we were to give any ‘constructive criticism’, we did have to move the settee at one stage as our baby girl got a toy behind it and there was quite a bit of dirt and dust behind the settee. This in no way put us off or spoilt our stay, we found the accommodation to be lovely overall. Maybe just needs a bit of TLC, repairs to a couple of windows/walls (in the stairwell/foyer) as our first impressions were a bit mixed, however the apartment itself definitely made up for it. As I said though, a bit of TLC could work wonders and take the place to the next level.
The bedrooms and bathroom are huge and very nicely furnished. Comfortable beds and pretty much everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. We would definitely stay again if they’d have us.

THEN SEVERAL MORE TEXT BACK AS NO KEY IN KEY BOX .. THEN GIVEN ANOTHER BOX NUMBER .. THE HOUSE DOOR WAS VERY STIFF AND HARD TO OPEN .THE OUTSIDE OF THE DOOR WAS DIRTY AND FULL OF COBWEBS .IT TOOK US ABOUT AN HOUR TO GET INTHE FLAT ..WITH WAITING FOR THE ANSWERS/ MESSAGES .. I FELT THE STAIRS UP TO THE EVES FLAT WERE NOT SAFE AS THEY WERE VERY STEEP AND NARROW .. IF I HAD KNOWN THIS WAS AN EVES FLAT I WOULD NOT HAVE BOOKED THE FLAT /NO MENTION OF STEEP STAIRS/EVES FLAT IN DETAILS . THE FLAT WAS VERY DARK WITH DIM LIGHTS . THERE WAS NO WORKING LOCK ON THE DOOR AND IT WAS OPEN !!.. KITCHEN/LOUNGE FLOOR WAS DIRTY.LOTS OF CRUMBS/LUMPS UNDER THE SETTEE .. AS THERE WAS NO WORKING LOCK ON THE DOOR WE TEXT THE OWNER AGAIN .. WHO SAID YOU ARE QUITE SAFE AS NO ONE ELSE IN THE BUILDING ? WE DID NOT WANT TO STAY IN AN UNLOCKABLE FLAT ..THE OWNER SAID TRY THE FLAT BELOW .. NUMBER 2 . SO WE WENT TO FLAT NUMBER 2.. NO BATHROBES .NO SLIPPERS . NO SHOWER GEL ..SHOWER HOSE LEAKED SO NO POWER TO THE SHOWER HEAD . VERY SMALL SHOWER SCREEN SO THE WATER FROM THE LEAKY HOSE WENT ALL OVER THE FLOOR ... NOT MUCH CULTLERY .. STAINS ON THE SETTEE .. BEDROOM LIGHTS DID NOT WORK .. ONE BEDSIDE LIGHT DID NOT WORK . WIFI LOGGIN WAS INCORRECT .STAIR LIGHT IN HALLWAY OUTSIDE FRONT DOOR DID NOT WORK . We loved our stay here and thought it was great value for money. The hosts were very helpful as the remote control in the bedroom was broken so they got a new one delivered the next day. Everything you could possibly want was close by and we had parking which is an added bonus. The apartment was spacious & clean and had everything we needed. Dog friendly which was great for us with a courtyard outside. We'll definitely be booking again!
