What a gem! Absolutely beautiful rooms, spotlessly clean with lovely welcoming staff. White company products in the rooms are a lovely touch, and the price we paid was an absolute steal for such a lovely room. Brilliant location too for shopping, bars and restaurants and wonderful hearing the cathedral bells this morning.

Everything was great.

Beautiful rooms with lovely quality bedding and towels and a welcome tray. Everything guests needed for a comfortable stay. Extremely clean with excellent newly fitted bathrooms. Convenient parking included. Close to cafes and historical sites.

Only bad thing was the other people staying slamming the doors really early in the morning but nothing the hotel can do about that.

Great staff. Had a bit of trouble finding the place to check in though. Lovely little extras like biscuits, milk, water. Spotless clean. Great shower as well.

Only complaint is Coffee machine not working

The downside of being so central is that it can get a bit noisy from the street as people leave the bars etc later at night.

my third stay here. It's a lodge only, so no restaurant, thought you can order room service, however it's in the heart of Leicester so there are plenty of places to chose from within a couple of minutes walk. The property is attached to the cathedral & the check-in desk is at the cathedral across the road. The staff are really friendly and helpful. All the furnishings and fittings are to a high standard, rooms have coffee pod machines, and a nice touch - a jar of shortbread biscuits.

The shower was really hard to figure out and keep a consistent temperature.

A bit noisy when I stayed on Friday night, but that wasn't the fault of the venue. It's close to the city centre so you may hear the nightlife outside.

Excellent room in a great location. Very comfortable bed, and the shower was fantastic.

The toilet/bathroom didn't have a door and was almost open plan. Positioned around the corner from the bedroom. I was ok with it but my partner wasn't so keen. The Nespresso machine didn't work :(

We loved the size and grandeur of the room. It had a lovely seating area and a separate dressing room style area. The shower is also brilliant. The bed was huge and so comfortable It was also absolutely spotless. The welcome tray of tea/milk/water and shortbread biscuits is a nice touch too

The room was extremely hot and the windows could only be propped open by a piece of wood. The bathroom is also beautiful but the shower causes the room to become extremely wet which can be dangerous if not mindful.

The location was wonderful, as was the size of the room and facilities - the room is as described and shown in the pictures. The hotel itself smells delightful and the staff were extremely welcoming.

I don't like leaving!

I loved the quiet understated luxury and elegant furnishings. My room was airy with lots of windows. The bed is like sleeping on a cloud. The bathroom shower fabulous and boutique toiletries exquisite. Nespresso machine and shortbreads, and mix of teas all perfect. TV is high quality. I love the location close to the cathedral and the shops and restaurants close by in st Martin's Square and Loseby Lane. Marie on reception is a lovely helpful welcoming face at st Martin's and I really appreciated her help with any request. This was my second visit and it won't be my last.

Great location, very friendly and helpful staff, especially Vanessa on reception. As we had been doing a lot of travelling we had lots of luggage and she managed to put us in a slightly bigger room so we weren’t falling over all our suitcases.

Front doors are a bit noisy so can hear every time someone arrives or leaves

The only slight observation was that the postcode for the car park didn’t help us get straight to it but absolutely nothing apart from that.

Had a very high standard of finish throughout and exuded quality. Its central location by the cathedral was superb and offered parking to make life easy.

The hotel is very comfortable and well decorated. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the location was excellent, across from the cathedral and next to the Richard III museum.

Not en suite as advertised, because that implies two connected rooms, and shower, basin and toilet were in the same room as the bed etc. I prefer privacy. Also, lack of handrail in shower is a hazard for elderly guests. Bed OK, but pillows inadequate.
