We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomA desk in the bedroom instead of a set of drawers work top would have been nice. Booking.com website indicated I would have a bath (and not just a shower) which I would have preferred, but not a deal breaker as the shower was good.
Perfect location for whether work or play in Lichfield. 5 minute walk reaches every cafe, bar, shop, restaurant in town, as well as the Cathedral. Superb breakfast.

We stayed in the 'Cottage Room' which was excellent, as it had a single room off it for my child. The room was spacious and tastefully decorated. The bed was comfortable, and the many finishing touches were great. The staff were pleasant. The cooked breakfast was one of the best we have had. Ideally located for central Lichfield.

United KingdomThis place is really a (very good) B&B not a hotel. There is no bar and only limited access to the main building. Nonetheless it is good value and a great place to stay if that is what you are looking for.
Good size room furnished to a very high standard. Superb breakfast and friendly staff. Biscuits, coffee and proper milk in the room. Great location for exploring Lichfield.
