We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United KingdomThis place is really a (very good) B&B not a hotel. There is no bar and only limited access to the main building. Nonetheless it is good value and a great place to stay if that is what you are looking for.
Good size room furnished to a very high standard. Superb breakfast and friendly staff. Biscuits, coffee and proper milk in the room. Great location for exploring Lichfield.

United KingdomIt was unseasonably cold that night and there was no heating, nor could I turn any heating on, including the towel rail in the bathroom, so the room was a bit chilly. I was also not sure about what to do in case of emergency or query at night: the reception closes at 8pm and there was no explanation as to how to contact anyone past that time. One of the other guests kept slamming the front door of the stables building as well as their bedroom door repeatedly, over quite a long period of time in the evening: maybe a sign reminding guests to be considerate of other guests with respect to noise and closing doors would be a good idea.
This is a real gem, and I loved the attention to detail with proper coffee maker and small fridge in the room. The 'House' is beautiful, and so was the single room I booked (in the stables building). The house is located within walking distance of the city centre, whilst offering parking for guests arriving by car. It was spotlessly clean and the breakfast was delicious and efficient. I will be back.

United KingdomSt John’s House Overall, we had a very pleasant and comfortable stay at St Johns House. Having grown up in the area, it is somewhere I have wanted to stay for a long time, so was excited for our stay. However, if we were to stay again, there are some tweaks that could be made that would elevate the experience to the luxury level as described. We booked a terrace room with the view to sitting outside with a bottle of wine and playing cards in the early evening. However, we couldn’t do that because the patio furniture is filthy. Which was a real shame and was one of the big selling points for the room for us, which we didn’t get to use. The television is very old, the pillows could be better. The breakfast was high-quality however there was only one member of staff serving, she was great but doing the work of 3 to 4 people. To the point where a guest came to our table and asked if she could have water from our jug because she didn’t want to ask the server for water because they were so busy. The bin underneath the tea box had not been changed from the previous guest so there were all old teabags in it. We love the decor of the room. The bed was comfortable. The location was great. Free parking is a bonus. The staff were great. Could benefit from someone being on reception at all times. We do visit Lichfield a lot and we would like to stay in the future , but do hope some of what we’ve mentioned will be taken into consideration and changes made so hopefully our next day will be bit elevated.
