Bed matress a little soft for me ( personal preference. Other than that, we were happy with everything .

Staff exceptionally friendly and helpful.Brilliant (walkable) location from Anfield ,. Rooms clean , kitchen available, which included basic supplies.which was a bonus. Little outdoor balcony with tables and chairs. Car parking ,plus easy access by bus into the city.

The bathroom door didn't shut well, which was a downside. Also, the window shutting system is not very user-friendly and the room is not really soundproof. Overall, it was a good stay though.

We traveled to Liverpool for th LFC vs Sparta Prague fixture in the Europa League, so it was quite convenient that the accommodation was really close to Anfield (walking distance). The host was really nice (actually, we found out that we already knew her from our previous travels) and helpful. In fact, the people are always nice, warm and friendly in Liverpool (for instance, there was no hairdryer in the room and a friend of our host lent us her own, which was really nice of her). The room is nice and cozy and everything was clean. The pub downstairs is a big plus if you're looking for a few pints at good prices. If you're looking to have a chat and mingle with the locals, they're quite friendly.

A bit of road noise but expected with location.

Good, basic accommodation. Room clean and comfortable. Communal kitchen with fridge, basic cooking facilities and washer, dryer to use. Basic bread, milk and cereal to help yourself to breakfast. Lovely locals to share a drink with in the pub below.

It is situated on a main road with considerable traffic noise. Pub has karaoke nights twice a week and apartment is situated over the pub, your choice! Personally we felt that location was not suitable for an evening stroll!

Lovely warm welcome and great explanation of facilities, excellent access arrangements separate to the pub. Really useful access to well appointed kitchen and bread, milk coffee etc provided at no cost. Car parking was free for us but we understand that a charge is levied on match days as St Hilda's is only five minutes walk from Anfield Stadium. Ideal for ferry port.

Bed a bit soft for us, but got used to this by second night. So not a major issue.

We were welcomed by Jess and she was very kind and friendly. She showed us everything .. how to get into the building/room and also where everything was. We had a twin room which was clean and warm. We are used to harder beds and ours were a bit soft.. however, by night two we had got used to this so not a major issue. We shared the bathroom but this wasn't a problem at all. It was all very clean and the shower was good. We could have used the kitchen but we didn't. We had a drink in pub our first night and everyone there was very friendly and drinks were a great price. We would return if we found ourselves in Liverpool again. Thank you all! xx

Nothing bad to say about the property because it was well worth the money.

Beds were comfortable and you had an outside area to smoke and a shared kitchen where you could make a hot drink . There was a place to iron and a washing machine.

The sockets are in slightly awkward positions for charging phones near the beds. Also I didn't know the bar was cash only

Spent some time to find the entrance but pleased to contact the owner at last.

We had a great stay there after watching match in Anfield. The room is small but well equipped with a small wardrobe, TV and heater. Especially impressed with the kitchen setting, which have all the common electronic appliances, like toaster, microwave oven, air fryer, washing machines and dryer. The owner also provided with some shared daily necessities, like shampoo and body wash, mirror, hair dryer, etc., which is especially good for a short stay.

The bathroom was a little small and the door didn't stay shut. Couldn't tell anyone about the door when we left as no one was there.

Could have cereal or toast for breakfast which wasn't mentioned. People were very friendly. We had a good night's sleep.

Friday night karaoke was rather rambunctious and ran until past midnight. My son was able to fall asleep quickly; me, not so much. And then when the pub patrons departed in the wee hours, the street noise from their conversations was rather easily heard. But I don't think that's the "guesthouse's problem", really. Our room was a bit chilly, but we survived!

The location was perfect for our needs -- proximity to Goodison, home of the Everton football team. We arrived unexpectedly early and were warmly welcomed to come in -- our room had just been prepared. The proprietors were unusually kind, helpful, responsive, and hospitable.

    Location and Staff

I was there for only one night to watch a football game, the location is perfect only 15 minutes walk to Anfield there's a Weatherspoons pub next door. Staff are very friendly and welcoming there is a communal kitchen and breakfast is self service The bedroom could do with double glazing as it was a bit cold , the bedding is very clean. Overall decent place to stay.
