Rather expensive compared to other cities but maybe it is a way in Edinburgh.

We had a double room in this hostel. All was quite basic, it is still a hostel. Room was small, not super clean, bed sheets were OK.

Bed mattress and pillow way too thin, my back is still killing me 4 days later. The shower in the dorm was pretty bad as well, it didn't drain properly and splashed water everywhere, it could really use a shower curtain or a door. The shower room floor always had a pool of water unless I was lucky to be showering before everyone else... The description and images of the room on booking.com led me to believe it was a 4-person female dorm so I was very surprised when I got there and saw 8 beds.... Sharing 1 bathroom with 8 people isn't the same as with 4.

Great location. Good breakfast, nice environment at Belushi's. Friendly employees. Free lockers in the chill room. Free water fountain at reception to refill my bottle as much as needed.

Needs more cleaning in room and toilets, the room was very small for 6 beds. The toilet inside the room was annoying and tiny for 6 people.

Everything was a bit tatty, it all looked like it needed updating and a deep clean (although the beds themselves were fine). The curtains had spider web/nests in their folds.

The location is really easy when arriving by train. The linen was clean and fresh. The shower was lovely and powerful.

Not that much area to socialise , and no kitchen or cooking facilities , basically it’s a bed , the rooms are very small and it felt a little cramped

Lift takes a long time and stairs are steep, luggage room is on 1st floor but I was on 4th floor so hard to access your things Curtain around bed doesn't go all the way around - had a gap where the stairs are so could be seen and had light coming in

Didn't expect lights in the dorm would be on until 0100 in the nights. I couldn't wake up early the next day. Had to amend my plans of touring Edinburgh.

I booked a double room at St Christopher's Edinburgh, and it was exactly what I expected—a simple bed and bathroom. The room was clean and very basic, which is to be expected for a hostel. The best part was the fantastic location—about as central in Edinburgh as you could ask for. I took the bus from Edinburgh Airport, and the stop was just a five-minute walk from the hostel, as was the train station. The staff at reception were friendly and polite, and I received a small discount voucher for breakfast at the pub/restaurant across the road, which was a nice bonus. My goal was to spend most of my time exploring the city and taking a Highlands tour, so I just needed a place to rest my head at night. It definitely served that purpose, and I wouldn’t be against staying here again. Overall, it was a good stay, and I’d recommend this hostel to anyone looking for a low-cost option for a city break in Edinburgh.

Bed and floor was making noise even with small movement. it wasn't a comfortable condition to sleep in dorms. On weekend had to pay a very high price for the stay and it wasn't worth when compared to the comfort.

Location is very close to railway station. Staff was good and accommodating.

The size of the bunks. Sleeping in the middle bunk is not the easiest, esp with someone below you and someone above. The top bunk seems like it's the preferred bed. Basically, I get why they cram 6 people into a room, but 4 would be so much better, and I'd pay extra for that. In fact, going forward, I'm avoiding all hostels with 6-person rooms.

The location is fantastic, easily the hostel's best feature. The staff were friendly and helpful. The discount on the adjacent cafe is a plus.

It felt a bit strange that the bunk beds were for three people, and by chance, I ended up on the top bunk. I made the reservation knowingly and intentionally, but I still think it would be better if it were for two people. The bottom bunk could cause some anxiety.

The location was great. The staff at the reception were very nice, and I really liked the atmosphere. The 25% discount at their own cafeteria and the restaurant across the street was also a great idea. The lockers with a secure password system were another plus. If I come again, I would definitely choose this place again. Thanks to everyone.
