Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThere’s nothing bad to say to be honest. The only complaint I have is this. The last two times we have stayed we have booked to have breakfast but each time the food has taken so long to come out. The staff are completely rushed off their feet and are constantly rushing around, it seems like there isn’t enough staff for breakfast time.
We really like staying here as a family. The facilities are great, excellent swim times for families. We like the rooms, they’re fully equipped with everything you need and very comfortable. Angie behind the reception desk is super welcoming and really attentive, she made my little boys day by knowing his name and that it was his birthday.

United KingdomRoom 208 backs onto the lift shaft and is the first room that guests walk past to get to other rooms. For light-sleepers, this may not be such a quiet room. This was not an overnight issue, but was noticeable from early morning onwards when others started moving in the corridors.
Stayed in a junior suite (room 208), costing £335 for a Thursday and Friday night in June 2023. Photo of room online was representative of the room that we were offered. Plenty of parking available on site. Note that the Solent Lodges are next door (may suit other's budgets and preferences). We did not use the spa, but it looked comfortable/clean. We did not eat there (local fast food options within easy walking distance). Fresh mild dispensers in the hall were a nice touch ... no UHT milk to be seen! Staff polite and certainly seemed on hand at all times.

United KingdomVery little to dislike. The only thing was that dinner did take a while and there was a really strong cold draft. The food was nice but felt it was a little pricey for what it was. However still had a great and comfortable stay.
Great sized comfortable room with two arm chairs and a table and nice bedding. Loved the attention to the "little things" including fresh milk and water whenever you wanted, all the amenities (coffee machine, kettle, iron, robe, slippers, sleeping eye mask etc.). Good selection of quality teas, coffee and biscuits. Tha hotel had everything you need. A bar, plenty of areas to sit, petanque area, open space, fire pits and outdoor seating, indoor pool with great jacuzzi, sauna, steam room, and loungers to relax on. Nice to have access to help yourself to water and tea/coffee in the spa/wellness area too. And a tennis court. All round a well appointed hotel with all the big and small things you want for a good stay and easy to get to straight off the m27. Also liked that checkout is 11am which is nice if you've had a busy day before.

United KingdomQuite a few people using the bar as an office. One even complained that we were interrupting his work!!
Room well equipped and clean. Great to have fresh milk and a great selection of coffees and teas. Sam in the restaurant was extremely courteous and helpful. The first evening he put himself out to help us given one couple in our party had a dog. The food and service were great. The second night Sam was under a lot of stress with other problems in the restaurant and this did have some impact on our experience. He engaged with us over this in a very professional way and was a great example of how to relate to customers when issues arise.

United KingdomWe booked an afternoon tea for Mother’s Day and it was a bit of a let down. Hardly any sandwiches juts cakes. We actually had our food before our coffee which was very strange and several reminders to staff we had no drinks. I noticed other tables were the same. Not worth the £30 per person to be honest. Poor service for the afternoon tea.
We loved the spa facilities and pool although a little steep £25 for a family to use, should be included in the price really. The room was clean and spacious and adequate facilities such as tea and coffee and a water machine just outside the room. Good parking and very close to a small shopping village and other restaurants.

United KingdomThe room heating was centrally controlled and as during one of the night the room got very cold our baby caught a cold. The bed provided for babies was more of a cot than a crib, so quite small for our months old baby. We had to bring in a separate bed for my husband and the baby slept with me on the bed. It would have also been a great add on if there were family friendly changing rooms at the pool area so mams ans dads can change babies together, it s quite a task to do it alone.
Great ease for baby/family short stay. The access to the pool and spa was easy. Really chilled environment for babies and children. Everything needed was easy to find or get. Friendly staff! Beautiful surroundings! Close to a supermarket!
