The room did not have its own private running water, wash basin or bathroom providing toilet and bath or shower facilities. Instead, three properly cleaned and maintained shared bathrooms with toilet, washbasin and shower facilities were to be found at the end of the corridor. I never had to wait. There was no safety shaver point suitable for charging or using shavers or for charging electric toothbrushes. On an occasion after the convenient electronic combination lock on my room door had worked perfectly several times, the visit-allocated combination helpfully also working on the hotel's outside security door, it became stuck in the locked position, and I needed help from the patient and capable concierge to make it release and give me access to my room.

The genuinely helpful and responsive hotel concierge/?proprietor was keeping an eye out for me when I arrived and made sure I did not try to register at the Cacco contractor guest-house several doors down from 'Snooze'. The room was large enough to comfortably contain a big double bed, a small work-surface level bed-side table that held a kettle and pair of cups with saucers and enough tea-bags, coffee sachets and fresh milk portions for my overnight stay and an open wardrobe forming and alcove containing a chest of drawers entirely suitable for one person's overnight requirements, along with my large peices of hand-luggage and music equipment. I was relieved that room window was open in a ventilating setting suitable for the hot weather of the day. The horizontal surfaces of the bed-side table, alcove and carpeted floor were clean and free from dust. The comfortably soft bed was neatly made up with clean linen, four pillows and a duvet suited to the hot weather. The bed-side hot drinks preparation table was served by two plug-points for personal equipment, and additionally equipped with two or three helpful 15watt USB Type A power charger connection sockets.

We had two rooms. One was fine. The other reeked of cleaning fluid and the wall was damp. Also, I think I might be too old to stay in a place with a shared bathroom anymore!

The room itself wasn’t up to a good standart, it was dusty und a bit unclean while the room was very cold aswell as the shower. The covers were weirdly folded and uncomfy.

It was at a good location and simple. It‘s good for 1 or 2 nights. For that the price is right on.

I found 2 long hairs in my bed but other than that the room seemed clean. Could do with more milks leaving out for the tea and coffee tray. We ran out and couldn't source more. Hot drinks machine could do with being updated. It charged me £2.50 for a large hot chocolate and dumped it out the bottom of the machine. Once the machine was rectified I received another drinks credit and it gave me half a cup of tea instead of chocolate. At this point I gave up.

I found the location perfect. Everything was 3 minutes away (by car). Although, the sleepy village of Corby doesn't serve food on Monday or Tuesday in most pubs or food places, we found a weatherspoons 3 miles away that did. There's an off licence, polish shops, a few chineese take aways and a few pubs within a 5-10 minute walk. Not forgetting the cardigan Arms across the road. We had a few in there and they allowed us to park there overnight after a quick chat. (No parking from 9-5pm outside) other than 30 minute stays. We wandered around for food and found a chinese open turning right outside the main door, heading straight over the round about past the pub to the long row of shops. Last shop on the end. It was tasty food too.

Doors were too noisy; if you had to get up in the night (and I always do) it was impossible to be quiet so as not to disturb other guests; the door latches closed with a bang that sounded almost like a gun going off. Also the smoke alarm kept flashing all night.

the bed was comfortable and a kettle was available in the room to make tea/coffee. Checking in was easy and staff were on call 24 hours though we never had to call them.
