Bar is closed, it will take a long time to get the Sneyd back to the state of 30-40 yrs ago with bar, restaurant, TV in all bedrooms etc. Hoping they really good job & succeed in taking it back to where it once was.

The stairs and hallways smelled strongly of urine. The staff on arrival were not welcoming or friendly. There was a window panel missing in the room which was half covered with a piece of wood. There was no kettle or tea or coffee provided in the room as per photos ect. We had to clean the bath before using. There was no curtain covering the window so when you are showering or bathing you are in the window. The bedding wasn’t clean there was a hair on the pillow.

The woman I spoke to on the phone in the afternoon was lovely and helpful. It was cheap. But honestly I wouldn’t say it was worth it !

Got woken up at 2 am, with the someone knocking at the door in which I woke up in a dazz and quite shaken. The person then let themselves into the room in which me and my partner weren't fully clothed since it was a hot night. Spoke to them outside the room and claimed there was commotion and others knocking on the doors and asked if I our door had been knocked on, which it hadn't till them. The room still had objects from the previous person that stayed and glasses from the downstairs pub.

A decent Comfy bed. Bathroom with shower and sizable room. Quite quiet from downstairs pub after 8/9pm. The room is decent on price. I just needed a place to stay.

Noisy people banging doors. No advice about how to get in and out of the maim door is locked. No bathroom, just a sink in the room and toilet.in the corridor, which it does tell you in the description, but not to have a shower on the floor of the hotel is nuts! You wouldn't use this for anything more than a chance to get some sleep before getting on the road. It's a pretty depressing place in all honesty!

It was ridiculously cheap! It's in the centre of town. The room itself was a decent size and it was clean, including the bedding.

The building is locked in the 1930's and needs a full refurbishment. The only facility in the room was a hand-basin so don't stay here if your expectations are for en-suite. The Toilet was across the corridor and the shower room elsewhere, a fair walk along the corridor. I didn't try the breakfast as I was visiting family a few miles out of Stoke on Trent and had breakfast with them. The room lacked a mirror and there was no bedside lamp or table. Otherwise, for the price, not all bad.

It was cheap and cheerful. The bed was clean and fresh towels laid out.

However, there were no basic necessities provided at all. Kettle but no cups/glass, sugar or tea/coffee as usually provided in rooms. No toiletries provided not even any handwash or soap for the bathroom. No matter what price is paid, these basic things should be available. Bathroom did have some mould around the tub

Some neighbouring hotel room doors looked like they'd been kicked in during a raid. Not auspicious. The bed was broken so I kept sliding to one side whilst I was on it. The radiator fell off the wall when I nudged it with my knee. There was a kettle and mug, but nothing to put in it. Tunstall was not salubrious.

The linen was clean. That's always the first and sometimes the only box that needs to be ticked when I'm staying in a place where price was my primary selection criteria.

D smell was awful..when we enter our room the toilet was filled with used toilet paper inside. D floor was all wet I had to get detol spray to use before I laid any of our belongings down. I get its a top class hotel but some improvement need to get done ESPECIALLY with that awful SMELL

Mo, the chap on the front desk late night duties didn’t seem like he could be bothered. after calling numerous times during the day, and emailing we got there after check in time. I told him we are here to check in and we spoke on the phone earlier to advise of our arrival time. we booked a double room with a private bathroom, and he said only room that was left was a single. my girlfriend had fractured her hand so a single wasn’t suitable for us. the following day we went to check out and realised our room was supposed to be 28, and instead Mo put us in 23, a single. absolutely pathetic, shouldn’t be on the desk, doesn’t know how to talk to people, huge attitude problem. the bathroom was rand down and outdated, a load of cobwebs, broken shower base, not a nice experience at all

the location was easy to get too and located around the necessary shops. kelsey, receptionist following morning was lovely

Broken bed. Staff member asked for a £20 deposit for a room key on our SECOND night. A staff member was walking on the roof outside our window at 2am to have a cigarette.

Book my room with a bathroom/shower 5 weeks before the trip.When I arrived at the hotel I was told my room was unavailable as it had been double booked. Had to settle for a single with a shared bathroom. Also, the room had no TV, no kettle/ coffee maker.

Very bad experience, normally need to stay 2 nights but I leave after first night, very noisy , police was in that morning in the hotel, smell bad, toilets very dirty, when I do check in they walk as around to find a room, we waited like 15 minutes to have a room
