This is a very minor quibble, but I wouldn't have minded if breakfast was served till at least 10:30 am, if I wanted a longer lie-in. But, as mentioned, this is a very minor issue.

Breakfast choices were excellent and plentiful. Well cooked and beautifully presented. The hotel restaurant was lovely with beautiful views of the countryside. My room was clean, quiet, comfortable with excellent shower and black-out blinds. Sparklingly clean. The hotel/Castle is so lovely and has beautiful grounds. The staff are so friendly, professional and accommodating.

This is a fabulous place to stay. Food lovely and sitting in the garden in the sunshine a rare bonus!F Staff were lovely and the atmosphere is very nice. People clearly love working here and it shows. Added bonus bought a dozen eggs before we left.

Outstanding property with spacious garden surrounds, No expense spared in furnishing inside and out. The rooms were great and furnished in period style to suit the castle. So much to see inside and out. Dining was perfect and staff exceptional and very attentive. Family run business that ensures the customer experience is the best.

Slightly far from Whitby centre could you move it down the hill. Could you kindly put shelf in the shower.

Breakfast was brilliant just the sort meal Iwould want when I was working, last me all day. Don't change it, staff again brilliant thank you so very much see you again soon.

Safe in the room? somewhere in the shower to place your soap all very minor issues and certainly did not affect our stay

The food whilst acceptable was limited of menu choice and would benefit from an association with a named chef whose name is nationally and internationally recognised- to do justice to the building, the location and the castles reputation. Also the addition of twin bedded rooms would provide greater choice for older people who have sleeping dificulties

The whistling sound outside when the wind was high. Took a while to fall asleep and woke us early in a morning as it was very loud right outside our window. Not sure anything can be done about it. But that is the only thing. Everything else was perfect.

Everything was excellent. All staff were friendly,polite and helpful. The food was amazing and the castle was spotless. A real enjoyable stay. Will definitely return.

The double bed was very small and short and for a long stay the room and wardrobes were minute There wasn't a single shelf in the shower cubicle and the controls had been fitted on the wrong side of the shower door meaning you had to fully enter the shower to reach the controls rarher than having them at hand as soon as the shower door was opened. I also thought the internal wooden panelling was somewhat cheap and tatty and did not become 'A Castle'

The breakfast and service there was very good. Obviously the locatiin was very good.
