Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe room had been very dark ref: concerning the decor I know it's a matter of taste, but I had the light on during the day (depending on the weather).
Breakfast was delicious, the room service was excellent, and the staff was fantastic, the spa was excellent as usual.

The family room was lovely and really spacious. It had two double beds. Breakfast was fantastic with a large selection of food to choose from. We ate in the Percy French restaurant at the hotel gates and both the food and staff were excellent. I would highly recommend.

IrelandOnly place I didn't enjoy was meal in Percy French Overpriced and complained about the very bland fish chowder. It needed seasoning,a thicker soup maybe add cream NOT a big dollop of olive oil floating on top Bread bun had been heated and this made it soggy Staff said oh sorry we will take notes of that. 3 starters,1 main( salmon and potatoes NO veg £25) a cola and wine £90.Wgereas we went to Villi Vici in town 2 starters,2 mains 3 glasses of wine £69.All lovely

United KingdomWater pressure in the bathroom wasn't great, to add to this, the TV signal was shocking so couldn't watch anything without turning itself off. Previous occupants had splattered tea stains all in the bathroom by the bin - missed by maid service. Water not replenished so we were left dreadfully thirsty, this was also missed by the maid service. Not really what you expect when you are paying £400.00 a night. Not sure 2 single G&T's should have been £42.00, either, that was really shocking for us and needless to say, didn't go back to the hotel bar after that!
Stunning location, beautiful grounds. Excellent breakfast which exceeded expectations. Comfort level was superior. Exceptionally friendly staff.

United KingdomI've always wanted to stay at the Slieve and it exceeded expectations. I was taking my wife to Ireland for the first time, so wanted to make it special. The Slieve didn't disappoint. Great location. Rooms and staff were amazing. The bar had a great vibe for a nightcap with a guy playing the guitar.

IrelandOnly thing I didnt like is my room was on the 1st floor, there is no blinds just curtains and it felt too open for me as I was overlooking the car park that's just a personal preference. There was no vanity table or chair/desk in the room which wouldn't be good if you are on a business trip.
The hotel is absolutely stunning, could not fault the staff they were absolutely brilliant, spa and leisure facilities were great.

United KingdomWe had dinner at the hotel, and a two course meal nearly took 3 hours. The service was so very slow. The staff where lovely and could not be blamed, just don’t think there where enough of them. This happened again at breakfast. Also it was my wife’s birthday, and this was not recognized. At another 5* hotel they made my birthday a big thing.
The property is beautiful and so well decorated, set in a beautiful location.

United KingdomRoom was too warm. Plus was told at the desk that to use the spa we were to change into robes and slippers as there were no changing facilities. This put my husband off so would go. Plus the rob didn't fit me. I went anyway to fing that there were changing rooms. Was annoyed at this.
The pool and spa. Though a little tired looking
