Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomCan't think of anything!
Location was fantastic, appartment was absolutely perfect. Really top 'spec' and Julia, the host, is a brilliant communicator, everything explained fully, with videos, before we arrived. I travelled by train from Kent, via Waterloo, and the train service between London and Winchester is exceptional. The appartment is a short walk from the station if you don't get lost (I did!) but I would recommend getting an Uber as it is quite hilly and dragging cases is not so easy. If you travel by car, all is fine. The kitchen is fitted with the highest quality appliances and every tool, saucepan and kitchen accessory, you could wish for is there. I usually travel with items I expect to be missing (and needed) but this time there were none. All crockery, cutlery and glasses are top quality and the beds are really comfortable and the towels supersoft. We loved the views from the windows and being in a location so close to the city centre; especially as the area is really quiet and peaceful. I cannot fault this appartment or our stay at all and Julia left so many treats for us we felt very spoiled. We had the best time, thank you!

United States of AmericaWe spent 5 nights at the Skypenthouse in November 2023. From beginning to end we were delighted with the many features and amenities. The unit is in a townhouse type building in a lovely quiet neighborhood 5 minutes’ walk from all the attractions of town – the High Street, Cathedral, many pubs and lovely shops and other places of interest. The building, which appears to have 15 or fewer units, is secured by outer doors as well as the unit door, and the host has thoughtfully provided color-coded keys so you can easily figure out which is for the back door, front door, and unit door. Getting in is seamless as you are provided detailed instructions. This unit is on the top floor (floor 3, which is the 4th floor to Americans) with fabulous views in 2 directions, east and west. There is a small elevator, as well as nice, carpeted stairs if you prefer that. Please note that to enter the building, from either front or back, you must ascend some stairs, maybe 7 or 8 out front, and a few more if you go in the back. This rental wouldn’t work for those who cannot manage stairs. Inside the unit are 2 comfortable bedrooms with nice linens. The bathroom is large and has a convenient walk-in shower. Small toiletries and soaps are provided, along with plenty of towels. The kitchen is well stocked with every appliance you could need – coffee maker, microwave, stovetop, fridge and freezer. There are pans, plates, cutlery, all sorts of mugs and glassware. Our host also provided a bottle of sparkling wine as well as candy and snacks, and fresh flowers. The living room is comfortable with a large TV and 2 sofas with many cushions. In some rentals you struggle for a comfortable place to relax, but here you are in good shape. There is also a dining room with chairs. Good lighting is provided with lamps and ceiling fixtures. Wi-Fi seems to work fine. There are scissors, foils, plastic wrap, paper towels, coasters, many hooks to hang up your clothing, a warming rack,

United KingdomThere is nothing that we didn't like. The apartment is top floor so the roof does influence some of the storage, etc in the bedrooms.
The host could not have been any more helpful, providing videos of the entry and flat (facilities). They also went out of their way to advise us on good activities to undertake during our stay, best places to eat, etc. The flat is cosy with all of the amenities you need. There are great views from the window and the location is only a couple of mins from the high street.

United KingdomAbsolutely nothing to dislike
The Sky Penthouse was perfect in every way, spotlessly clean, comfortable and charming. The host was extremely helpful and thoughtful throughout our stay initially by sending a video on how to access parking and property with recommendations on restaurants etc. There was Prosecco waiting in the fridge, chocolates and snacks, bottled water and fresh flowers. The apartment was a 5 min walk to town. Would happily recommend this property and would be more than happy to return if ever visiting again

United States of AmericaEverything was wonderful. I cannot think of anything that needed to be improved or changed.
My wife and I are pleased to recommend Julia and her apartment, Sky Penthouse, in Winchester, UK. We stayed there for about 16 days in April 2023. The two-bedroom apartment was clean, neat, and very well furnished and equipped, especially the kitchen where we had fine china and all the usual equipment for a kitchen. We cooked several meals without problems. The living room was large with two very comfortable couches and a great TV. The dining room was just right for the two of us and would accommodate at least six people. Each bedroom had a king-sized bed, and these beds were the most comfortable that we had slept in during our 4-month vacation in Europe. The bathroom was quite nice with a great stand-up, walk-in shower. The views of the rooftops, gardens, and church spires of olde Winchester from the third floor windows were welcoming and seemed to draw us into the ancient history of this first capital of England. The elevator (lift, in UK-ese) worked perfectly. The Sky Penthouse has its own parking space just out the back door. The apartment is located just one long block (a 5-minute walk) from the pedestrian way through the heart of olde Winchester. It is within easy walking distance to great restaurants and several historical attractions such as the famous Winchester Cathedral, the Great Hall (where King Arthur’s roundtable is), Wolvesey Castle, and the Royal Oak (the oldest pub in England), to name just a few. Julia helped us settle in and gave us great advice on things to do and places to go and places to eat. She was attentive to our needs and always available if we had questions or needed advice or help with directions. Winchester is a great place to visit in the UK. It has a population of only about 35,000 and is easy to get around in. If you go, stay in Julia’s Sky Penthouse. It’s in the heart of the olde part of Winchester.

Everything! The penthouse was lovely and had everything you needed for comfort and enjoyment. Excellent location - 2 minutes from the cathedral which is where we wanted to go for the Christmas markets. Central location to excellent dining experiences. Excellent instructions given by Julia meant that it was very easy to find and access the property. United KingdomSky Penthouse is a luxury experience. This is an extremely well located property with parking plus a further road space if needed. The information provided beforehand is set out in short videos to explain how to get into the apartment and also to show you around it. The apartment is well appointed with large comfy beds, lots of storage space, nice bathroom, and comfy living area. TV is a good size too. Kitchen has everything needed to cook full meals and the dining area comfortably seats 4. Julia provides loads of information about Winchester, and gives recommendations for restaurants and activities. We ate at The Ivy and Chesil Rectory which were both outstanding. Its just around the corner from the theatre too which we made use of. A brilliant stay - we will recommend and will return at some point!
