Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyPerhaps a few more hooks in the bathroom for towels. The hot tub needs 2-3 hours to warm up, with YouTube's help we got it working.
The apartment was so secluded.and peaceful, our own space in and around the cabin. The hot tub was an amazing feature and the showers ran hot. We had some cute neighbors - sheep and a horse. It was wonderful waking up to their faces!

United KingdomThis was the second time that we have stayed at Skye Cabins, and it was just as amazing as we remembered! We made very good use of the hot tub again (our favourite part), although it was a bit of a struggle to get it lit from cold this time. William offered us some helpful tips when bringing us some more firewood - you are given enough to last the length of your stay, but we were a little bit wood-happy when trying to get it to heat up the first time! The surrounding scenery was as beautiful as always, and the cabin was pretty much central to everywhere we wanted to take a drive to in Skye as we did a lot more exploring this time. Skye Cabins certainly did not disappoint, and we've already booked our next stay!

United KingdomNothing - we loved everything!
I cannot say enough great things about our stay at Skye Cabins. The pictures are lovely but do not do this place justice! It is a stunning view, everything was clean and tidy, there were lots of cooking tools, and even spa robes for our stay! The wood-fired hot tub is *fantastic* and Willy, our host, was very generous with the wood and kindling. In fact, Willy was generous and helpful with everything! We felt so welcome and had everything we needed the entire weekend. At the end of the stay, you don’t need to do much in terms of checkout - just leave the keys and Willy handles the rest! Portree isn’t far so it’s easy to nip into town for some groceries, supplies, or a meal out if you fancy it. But, you’re far enough to get peace and quiet and beautiful stars at night. There’s a skylight in the rotunda so you can see stars from bed, which was incredible. When we or our families come back to Skye we’ll be staying here! If it’s available, book this place while you can.

United KingdomThere is nothing to dislike about this gorgeous Rotunda cabin and surrounding area's
This cabin is absolutely gorgeous and in a stunning location, Dark skies for star gazing or The Northern lights if it's the winter, everything you need is thought of, the log fired hot tub is easy to get fired up, but don't put too much wood in as it's gets too hot and doesn't cool down quick. The shower has plenty of power.

United StatesWiFi did not work and host did not respond to inquiry. Other than the unreliable WiFi, everything else worked fine. But, if you're focused ln WiFi, you may be missing the point of the location. Arrival location and directions were unclear: The sign directs you to "Skye cabins" but there is only one. The plural appears to be aspirational. They tell you to go to the "rotunda," which is a unique use of that term, and it is not visible until you come to very end of the road in a sheep pasture and walk several steps down a gravel hill, and, voila, there it is: beautiful. It's worth the slight effort but there is no reason to write the directions only from the owner writers' informed perspective, when customers' holiday time is so valuable.
The location has to be experienced to be fully appreciated, It is scenic, quiet and peaceful. The view down the hill and across the loch to the fields on the of side of valley is stupendous with a front row seat to spectacular sunrises. Some reviews have complained about no breakfast service. It is not a B&B. We made our own breakfast. The kitchenette was very good. Also, the location provides easy access to Fairy pools, Quoraing and Talisker beach, but also to Portree.

United KingdomThe kitchenette could do with a few more dishes, some oven dishes etc. An iron and ironing board would be handy too. However the host did say if we needed anything we could ask, and we didn't, so maybe they would have provided if we had?
The photos of the cabin do not do it justice... it is absolutely beautiful, completely private and secluded but also safe. The views of the sea and the mountains were second to none! Fantastic

The Rotunda is a cozy cabin with a beautiful view. The room is clean and comfortable and the perfect size for a quiet get away. It is very private and the Woodburner jacuzzi is brilliant. The owners were very helpful and were quick to respond to requests. The location is excellent for getting around the island. We couldn't have expected anything more from this place. Didn't want to leave. Will hopefully find time to return!

United KingdomNo big issues for us, just some things to consider: the roads aren't the best in the area (lots of potholes, gravel roads), there is a little walking up and down from the car park to the cabin entrance (if you have mobility issues), toiletries & kitchen washing up stuff provided could be a little better. There are blinds for all of the windows but not for the skylight in the ceiling so in more summer times it can get quite bright.
We really liked the cabin (rotunda) and how remote it was. It's not too far from the other houses, but a little hill hides it well and on the other side you have the water and a lot of sheep! The view is really something and the place is very quiet. The little porch with the chairs and the hot tub is really nice, we enjoyed a few meals there. The hot water tub was great (once we got it going, you need a bit of knowledge of how to start and maintain a food fire, but even 2 city people managed it easily). Kitchen was ok - don't expect to find everything you'd have at home but it was more than enough for heating up a bunch of meals and preparing sandwiches. Bathroom was good size and the water had good pressure and temperature (I like hot showers). I was surprised how good the phone signal was in the area/cabin (you do get wifi anyway). There are signs to the cabin from the main road and a sign of where the parking is. If you can't see them keep going (past the massive hill and houses). The host sent us an email with a lot of information both about the cabin and about where you can get things (dinners, supermarkets); we didn't really need any help with anything but they seemed very nice and responsive.

United KingdomThe only downside for us was the wood fired hot tub which we found difficult to master (in all honestly, we didn’t quite get the hang of it in the 5 days that we were there with the water either being too hot or too cold at all times). Some clearer instructions re timings and a temperature control/monitor would be helpful.
Location, location, location. This cabin is in the perfect place to completely escape the hustle and bustle of daily life. We sat out on the deck to watch the sun rise and it was completely worth the 4am start. We were shocked that the cabin actually appeared bigger in real life than it looked from the photos online. It is equipped with everything you could need for the perfect getaway - we would definitely stay here again!

Fantastic location, amazing views. So peaceful and relaxing. Well equipped kitchen, small but perfectly formed. Lovely spacious bathroom with great shower. I imagine hot tub would be lovely but sadly we just didn't get to go in, so much to see and do on Skye...

United KingdomHad a bit of a false start with the hot tub as it was so cold - it took over 4 hours to heat up on the first attempt! Not a problem though, we'll know for next time.
We stayed in the Rotunda, a beautiful cabin with the comfiest bed we had ever slept on and everything you would need. The outdoor hot tub was amazing and the hosts provided plenty of wood. Quiet, peaceful location and very private, not overlooked by the road, other houses or cabins. Good distance from most of the main attractions on Skye.

United KingdomNothing - everything was perfect!
We didn’t have a single complaint the entire time we were there - the cabin was absolutely beautiful! The hot tub was amazing and super easy to use. Owners were on hand to help with anything; however, you’re left to it the time you’re there which we thought was great - William greeted us and helped us set up the hot tub when we first arrived which was appreciated. The cabin has plenty of facilities. We mostly ate out or brought our own snacks anyway, but the kitchen is fully equipped if you fancy cooking your own meal. Beautiful views (even at night when the moon is out!) and we were greeted by some horse and sheep friends which we loved! It was super convenient being within driving distance of pretty much all of the usual sights we wanted to see. The owners also send an email as part of your booking recommending places to eat, things to do etc. which was great help since it was our first visit to Skye, though, unfortunately some of the places we fancied from this list didn’t end up being open. That isn’t to be helped! We’re planning on returning in summer anyway so the email will be on hand then. All in all, we would 100% book to stay here again. The entire trip was brilliant and it was made extra special with knowing we were returning to such a beautiful cabin in the evenings after a long day out.
