Absolutely fantastic place!. Exceptional good beds and exclusive bathroom. The host Thomas was extremely service minded and served us coffe and cakes when we arrived. Very good beakfast ! (I took an omelette and fresh berries and espresso) A cosy living room to share with other gests.

Nothing just simply a 10/10. what we did not like was that we only booked two nights. Next time we will definitely stay longer!

We had a lovely room upstairs in the main house. The view is fantastic over Islay. We especially liked the Interieur design and furniture that was cozy warm and welcoming. In our view the BEST place to stay on Islay. The breakfast also is AWSOME and can easily compete with every fancy hotel. In addition our host was very welcoming, warm hearted and truly an island original. The WiFi worked well. Everything was clean and super nice and the living room downstairs can be used by all guests and is very cozy. Last the house was easy to find with enough parking and easily accessible.

The breakfast we had at Skerrols House was superb; It's the best one among the whole trip. And the bed is comfy, the room is quiet. We had a great stay.

We did not enjoy sharing the breakfast room with a party of ten people who did not consider us at all and were very noisy. It would have been better to stagger breakfast times so we did not have to. Share the room with themSimilarly in the evening they came into the lounge with bags of tins of beer and snacks. Despite a sign under the TV, they were noisy and inconsiderate.

Skerrols House provides a warm welcome for the traveller. It is incredibly well run by Thomas who is a superb host and whose wife cooks an excellent breakfast. Set in peaceful countryside with lovely views. Our bedroom had views across the countryside, comfy beds and plenty of space to settle in happily. A fabulous place to stay and explore the beautiful Isle of Islay.

Exquisite location, big rooms and bathroom. Amazing breakfast (croissants are to die for!), and lots to do at the house (board games, etc.). To top it off, Thomas who was managing the place was ever helpful and great! Highly, highly recommended place!

The beds were amazing. The rooms were lovely with a nice common living area. The breakfast was spectacular with the best breakfasts we had on our entire 14 day trip. We opted for their packed lunch one day and it was also wonderful. It was a beautiful quiet place to return to each day after sightseeing on Islay. A magnificent respite from town chaos. We slept deeply every night. The staff was extremely accommodating and pleasant. Thomas resolved a room issue for us, which eliminated our need to change rooms. They did everything possible to make our stay exceptional and it certainly was!

The beds were amazing, the breakfast was outstanding. The facility was wonderful with the most accommodating staff. The peace and quiet was just what we needed. It was a fantastic place to return to at the end of the day. I would highly recommend it to anyone. Thomas was wonderful.

This property exceeded my expectations. If you want to be in walking distance of the pubs and towns, you will have to stay in town. There is one restaurant you can walk to for dinner.

This is a modern farmhouse setting out in the middle of some fields. Very peaceful and relaxing. Great for a quiet walk in the country after a long day. The rooms are very modern and clean with towel warmers too. Breakfast was outstanding, you won't go away hungry.

Price is high, but worth every single pound. Trust me!

This was the absolute best placed we stayed on our entire trip. And now one of my favorites ever. Thomas was amazing at communicating, making you feel welcomes, cooked an amazing breakfast and responded to our every request. Then there are the beautiful and impeccably kept accommodations. Stay here once and you'll want to return to Islay just to stay here again. And be sure to visit the Islay Woolen Mill nearby, a true classic. If I could give this more than a 10 rating, I would.
