Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe pillows were very flat - I used all four provided and they were still not amounting to one decent pillow. Wifi was weak - the signal was disappearing periodically. The mini-split AC was not functioning properly - temperature control was not adequate. I know from experience - these units are finicky. Fortunately, the weather was mild, so it wasn't a big deal. My room was probably the cheapest - so the window was blocked by what seemed to be a staircase - in essence there was no window.
The hotel was exactly what I expected for the more than reasonable price for London. The room was clean and was cleaned every day by a maid. It had a bed, a shower, a teapot with selection of teas, coffees and biscuits. It was reasonably comfortable with everything a person needs for a short stay. My room was on the ground floor - didn't have to climb stairs. Location was good - 5 - 10 min walk to bus stops and several underground stations. Plenty of good places to eat in the neighborhood. The place was in a quiet part of the neighborhood.

IrelandThe only downside I would say is that there is no breakfast available, but I didn't see that as a problem.
The room was nice and clean, very quiet area. It has met my expectations I had when I booked it. The staff at the reception was also nice and welcoming. The location was good, close to Kensington High St, and walkable distance to the Kensington Palace. Also close to the public transport.

CanadaDespite the fact that the staff was kind and the stay was excellent after the first night, I cannot recommend this hotel. It is managed by a typical London slumlord who allows the rooms to fall apart without fixing them. Our first room had no window blind. There were curtains that covered about 1/4 of the window, with evidence that previous guests had been trying to staple them together in order to block out the street lamp right outside the window. None of the amenities worked (we ended up with warm milk although the fridge was “on”) and our “air conditioning” was actually a heating system. We ended up sleeping in essentially daylight the first night. The bed also had springs and buttons sticking out and digging into us while we tried to sleep. We were lucky enough to be put in a new room, however instead of shutting our original room down to repair it, they just put someone else in there straight away. It was evident the amenities had been broken for quite a while, and we could see the room beside us had no blind either. I would not stay again, merely because I would risk being in one of those terrible rooms without a guarantee of being able change. I’m also confident that when something in one of the good rooms breaks, it will not be fixed. It’s obvious that the manager, who wasn’t even in the country, is of the mindset that if you don’t like it then they can just move you on and get another customer in who will have to suffer through it.
If it weren’t for our first room, I would have given this hotel a 10. Our second room was great. Everything was clean, everything worked and it was nice and quiet. Ahib at the front desk was lovely. He was helpful whenever we needed anything and was quick to change our room when we found out our first one was in complete disrepair. He actually immediately went out and bought batteries when he heard the safe in the room was broken. The cleaning staff was kind and pleasant. We also got biscuits, tea and coffee in the room, which was a nice touch. The hotel is in a nice area that’s convenient for tourists. Transport links are ok if you’re there for a visit rather than tourism. It was nice to have the overground there and Hammersmith and some good buses nearby, so we weren’t completely relying on the District Line.

FranceThe bathroom was horrible. The sink was leaking (on the floor), the water had no pressure, either shower or WC. Concerning the sink, we notified it as soon as we saw it. But the hotel owner didn't give a damn about it and didn't do anything. I had read reviews before booking it, and I wrote an email to the hotel to not get the damaged Twin Room. And guess what? Not a damn was given. I got that room. If you have room 17, good luck. Our neighbors were very noisy in the middle of the night. The WiFi isn't very stable. Pillows are extremely thin. Fridge doesn't keep anything cold, safe is not usable. Also, it is said that there is no elevator, and we were fine with it, but if you have any difficulty with stairs, I don't recommend it, the stairs are very rough.
The location is absolutely perfect. It's about 30 to 40 min from every touristic site in London. Subway is close, there are some restaurants and supermarkets in the area. The man at the reception was very nice and tried his best to be helpful.

Czech RepublicThe hotel room is really too small (not that it's a problem because the size is indicated in the reservation), but it's a bit difficult for two to move around freely sometimes. The price of the reservation was higher at the time of our stay due to the BST festival, which is understandable, but in other cases, perhaps the price will correspond to the type of room and services.
The hotel is relatively close to the center and public transport is within walking distance. We used Uber as public transportation was very busy during our stay. The room had everything we needed. We appreciated the kitchenette, given that there is no cooking in the hotel and there are plenty of delivery services available in London, if you don't want to eat outside. The hotel is located in a quiet neighborhood.

CanadaAt first they were going to give my mom and I a third floor room, but they only have stairs up. My mom is 74 with one artificial knee and the other needs surgery, so she would not be able to walk three flights of stairs daily for our week stay. The lady at the desk was very sweet and friendly. She was able to accommodate our request with a ground floor room. It was a room they seldom used because the floor is very creaky, and it tended to be a very warm room, which both my mom and I were fine with as long as the accommodation was accessible. We were satisfied with our stay and with the friendliness of the female front desk staff and cleaning staff. Overall, the beds were comfy, the room clean, and it suited what we needed from a hotel. I would choose there when back in London. It is a very fair value for the price.
