The lodge itself felt very cramped, cleanliness wasn’t great and generally felt really dated. Looked like they were in the middle of updating the lodges which this one definitely needs, and I feel the cleanliness should be checked off. Didn’t use the log burner as we literally spent all of our time in the outside area, but during the night it was either boiling hot or freezing cold.

The outside area/garden was brill and the main reason I booked as wanted something different, it more than made up for the actual lodge. The location was good as only wanted a couple of days peace and quiet and wasn’t too far from home. Great area to take our dog with us which made a change.

No resteraunt/cafe/ bar. Reception indoor area huge space not much in there it could be really amazing all that space in there. Staff was friendly.

The secret garden lodge was just amazing. We had the best couple of nights. Facilities on the site are lacking but we really enjoyed it all the same. Lodge was great. Will definitely come back

Cleaning facilities for inside the property lacked, eg a cloth for cleaning work surfaces and table. Broom stored outside gave impression for outdoor use and therefore nothing to sweep inside. Was of the impression the property would include a shower. Sections of dust in “hard to reach” areas and bathroom wall had exposed electricals.

Hot tub clean and in good order, location stunning. Comfy bed. Felt very cozy.

Wider roadways, more signage as arrived late. No sign on reception,had to ask holiday maker? More exit signs. Expensive, looks bigger on photos. Lodge opposite lit fire pit at home 10am. Buzzing permanently in double bedroom????

The beds needs more attention to comfort, otherwise we enjoyed our stay.

The place was loverly, the staff was great, we had booked via booking.com but realise they was new to putting the place on there, when we booked we was going for the hot tub, didn't realise till we arrived it didn't come with the cabin we booked, explained and showed the staff what we thought we was paying for, they upgraded us but didn't get the hot tub as it was fully booked. But it was very good of them to understand why we was disappointed when we first arrived, as the first cabin they offered wasn't at all what we wanted, the one they moved us too was a lot better and was happy with our stay after that.

Sadly the pool was not open and we did not receive an email about this. This place could be so much more! The crazy golf has been left unkempt, done up could be a lovely addition. The pool really is essential and in school holidays should be working! You have to get this right.

The setting is beautiful. Cabin was cosy and everything you needed. Bathroom could do with an update but the water pressure was very good. The kitchen was modern and had what you needed. The outdoor seating area is ideal and my foster son loved the outdoor play area.

Very outdated furniture and furnishings. The carpets were stained. There's no Wifi. They did not provide hand wash something so basic for holiday lets.

The cottages/ lodges look nice. The bed was comfortable and the bedrooms were spacious enough.

Was not aware there was no heating in the cabin, 2 plug in heaters. Had to purchase a starter pack for the log burner at 20 pound which we did not know about. Many facilities closed or in very poor condition. Could have been cleaner, few items needed replacing.

The pool was out of order even though there was no update stating this when i booked (i only booked the morning of arrival so there should have been an update by then to state that the pool was out of order as it may have swayed my decision to book). The hottub on the deck was empty which was a shame as we weren't expecting a hottub initially but when we saw there was one we felt it made up for the lack of pool, however that was short lived when we realised it had no water in it anyway. There was also a big screw sticking out of the fence next to the hottub which I had to stop our 2yr old catching himself on! The bathroom had a strong smell of urine & the shower had a small leak meaning the floor next to the drain was always wet & the shower squirted out the door once opened so it was very messy to use, but the rest of the cabin was clean & nice. The neighbours went on RIDICULOUS until about 11pm with loud music & screaming kids running riot. There were afew cabins of people who weren't English as some of the music they were playing very loudly wasn't English & it seemed that they were all together partying, which I believed was against site rules, so our children were constantly disturbed by their selfish behaviour. The manager (I believe) did have a word about 11pm the first night which was appreciated but unfortunately it may have fallen on deaf ears as they were the same the following night (just not QUITE as late, maybe about 10:30pm instead) We did mention our disappointment regarding the pool & hottub but were told there was nothing they could do, which is one of the things that has potentially put us off returning. I think if the hottub had been on, the pool in use, & the neighbours not been so rowdy we'd have wanted to return in a heartbeat because other than that it'd have been a really lovely stay!

The location itself is lovely for woodland walks & not too far from local shops which is handy. The 1 staff member I spoke to was very pleasant & the cabin (inside) was nice enough

It could have some air fresheners, smelt damp by the dishwasher and the skirting wood underneath fell down.

Just enough space inside, really comfy beds, nice outdoor space. Hot tub was great. Really quiet surroundings not overlooked.
