No lift in the manor house section. My wife has mobility issues and struggles with stairs. The reception staff did change us from a 2nd to 1st floor room. The stairs carpet is badly worn and has a large worn loop section which is a trip hazard. The whole of the manor house section needs decorating. and perhaps upgrading.

Overall the room was pleasant with good views.

First room I was assigned had a terrible smell. However the staff were excellent and found me an alternative, albeit more dated in decor and facilities.

Lovely setting and grounds. Golf course on premesis

Accessible room booked which was very sparsely fitted out....no comfortable chairs to relax. Light switch near bed blocked by a partition as bed slightly recessed. Very limited comfortable areas within the hotel....only about 4 comfortable chairs located in reception area which isn't really a relaxing location.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Room was well located on the ground floor

The interior decoration needs attention. Torn and stain carpets. Wallpaper lifting off the walls in bedroom. Had to be moved from original room due to strong smell of damp. Stained ceiling and badly stained divan base.

Lovely location, the manor is set in beautiful grounds. Nice place to take a peaceful short break.

The bedroom was comfortable though fairly basic. The peeling paint on the bathroom ceiling was not a good look though everything worked well.

The building and the grounds are beautiful. The restaurant is lovely and the garden views are great. There is plenty of parking. Check in was simple and our room was ready soon after arrival. The area is off the main road so is very quiet. Even a wedding in the building did not really disturb the peace.

The venue does say in their important information that it is a wedding venue. However, the noise on the corridor was very loud until it was gone 1am. There was also a very loud disco (though this did finish by 12 midnight). I was disappointed to find upon arrival that the price I had paid through Booking.com for room only, would have got me half board if I had booked direct. Infact, I actually ended up paying almost £90 extra by not booking direct with the hotel, by the time I had paid for my breakfast too. Moral of the story, check the pricing before you go.

The hotel was beautiful with fantastic grounds. The bed was comfortable, and the room was amble in size. The bathroom had a bath and shower, which was welcome after a long drive. The staff were welcoming, and the breakfast offered a vast array of choices.

The rooms are slightly outdated, no fridge or air conditioning. The Wifi not reliable and sometimes dropped off. No toilet brush! Bath with shower wasn't great. Large bathroom but awkward shape and unusually up several stairs inside your room.

Friendly professional staff. Very good restaurant and service. Lovely location and picturesque grounds
