like all hotels of this era {Victorian?] a little shabby but clean and food and staff more than make up for this.

Food was superb- Staff superb. Can't say anymore than that.

Breakfast only available for one hour - not convenient for us. No buffet, was all served, though the waitresses and waters were all good. Despite advertising wifi - it did not exist on our floor (3). "Possibly available in the bar" was the answer we got after enquiring about it. Hotel on the route for coach tours of Scotland - so restaurant was full at breakfast. We arrived about 7 pm and were told that the restaurant was closed - meaning the coach parties had all finished. If you need shower gel you go to reception and ask them. (EHH??)

Thought it was a bit dated, and the breakfast cereal wasn't the real thing ie keloggs, also got porridge and cheese and ham for breakfast as and thought it would be cheeses but only grated cheese and some meat, was thinking cheeses and 2 or 3 types of meats with bread and tasted a bit watery same with the porridge and the sugar was in paper thought it would be in sugar bowl. And not much light outside went out to see local amenities and the grass was that thick and spongey somebody could fall. And there was no entertainment on the Saturday night. Plus don't think the radiator was working and the plug in the sink didn't fit the sink properly.

The view from our room looked on to the fifth of Clyde so we saw numerous of boats and other things. Also room was nice and clean.

The hotel was overpriced but it was the Cowal Games and to be fair it was the only place available on the dates we required. We were kept awake most of the night by squeaky floor boards from the corridors and rooms above and doors banging.

The location was perfect for our needs, breakfast was excellent and set us up perfectly for the day ahead

There were no sockets at the bedside to charge phones. The floors all throughout the hotel are very creaky. There was a lot of noise from other guests in corridors early morning which woke us up and Housekeeping staff were also quite noisy.

    The location, the comfortable bed.

More a disappointment that I arrived after they'd stopped serving food. Made doubly awkward as there wasn't much in the town. Otherwise the stay covered all my requirements.

Lots of choice re: breakfast. Timely served by welcoming and courteous staff. Clean room and comfy bed. Lovely views from both the dining room and the bedroom overlooking the sea. Booking in was an easy process.

Staff were lovely and rooms were clean, breakfast was good and service excellent The bar & dining room were lovely with beautiful views and not too far into Dunoon town centre

Rooms were very dated, shower was too small with the additional hand rail in there. I completely understand why it is there but with such a large bathroom there is plenty of room for a larger shower.

Breakfast was lovely although i was disappointed as no black pudding.. Grounds and view were fantastic.
