Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomDidn't find anything really.
The location is good - bus from airport will take you to bus stop 3 on the promenade directly outside the hotel. Breakfast was varied although no specific vegetarian options (no veggie sausages for example). The rooms (well mine anyway) overlooked an atrium with 'garden'. The attached bar does basic food and the staff are friendly and welcoming. There is also and onsite 'asian' restaurant although I did not use. Castle Street is very close and has many shops and eating places - most eating places close for orders around 8pm. And the bed was super large.

United KingdomThe only comment is, by its nature then atrium is quite echoey, exaggerating all conversations and noises. Also be aware of running water sounds cause you problems!
Lovely traditional hotel, we had an excellent junior suite overlooking internal atrium, super breakfast. On site restaurants are independent but good, the Sir Norman has limited menu but good food. Close enough to other good eateries though. Underground car parking arrangements are first come first served really so a little problematic and website needs updating for what really is available. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Didn’t try the pool and gym, maybe next time! Lots of lifts so very accessible.

United KingdomMy husband had fix cutrains more the once. They kept falling off the rail when trying to close them. All around the hotel i noticed curtains were in a poor state. This reflects poor care and attention to finer details
The visit was ok

United KingdomThe room we were given is situated overlooking the enclosed atrium, which meant that there was no real airflow through the room so it smelled stale and grew uncomfortably hot during the night (we were given a fan though, which helped). The mattress was a touch too firm for our liking, so we didn't have the best sleep, and the bathroom smelled peculiar (not helped by the lack of airflow). Due to the way the hotel is built, this is unfortunately one of those aspects that can't be helped. We didn't spend too long in the room anyway so we weren't majorly inconvenienced by these factors.
The location is brilliant, it's roughly midway between Lord Street with its main bus terminal, and the Electric Railway. The views out to the sea are lovely from the breakfast room, and the staff are very helpful and welcoming. The breakfast is amazing, really good quality food and fresh. The on-site bar is gorgeous, and the attached restaurant is worth a visit for its amazing Japanese/Thai food. The building itself is beautiful, and though they did have scaffolding up it didn't impact our stay at all.

United KingdomRoom was fine (370) space wise but layout and light level in sitting area was dark and not very ergonomic (tea making area tucked in a corner.} Atrium area tired (plaster missing) on inside and some of the internal planting dead around our balcony area.

Isle of ManThe atrium itself requires attention to the plant and foliage as a lot od dead material is left hanging about
Room was nicely placed in the atrium zone. Breakfast was good and plentiful, nice selection on offer. The hotel itself was selected due to its location and convenience to other amenities

United KingdomThe curtains in the room didn’t fit the windows or close properly so let a lot of light in. The body/ hair wash dispenser in the shower was empty. Limited number of parking spaces in hotel car park, so no guarantee you get a space even when you have paid in advance.
The breakfast was great and there was a good variety of items to choose from. The hotel location was excellent for walking into town and the beach. All the staff were great and very helpful. The room was lovely and had great sea views.

United KingdomThe builders still being on site so spoilt views from the Harris suite at breakfast time. No TV on our first night and telephones flashing till someone came to fix it @22.45 TV not fixed till next day. Disappointing as we were in a luxury suite. No offer of any compensation or a goodwill offering.
The breakfast is first class and the hotels location is fantastic. Parking is not guaranteed so operates on first come first serve. All staff are very nice and helpful especially Wan in the Harris dining room and Melody in the Bonzai restaurant 😀

United KingdomSadly renovations meant that the sea view rooms were out of action and in restaurant was obscured with green netting but we knew work was being done on he front. Parking was a bit difficult as my car is quite big. Pool is a bit small. Looked at the restaurant Bonzai Pan Asian but nothing jumped out at us
We booked a atrium room as sea view rooms were being renovated as well as the front it was lovely really great way of making backs of hotels pleasant. Great choices for breakfast lovely Manx kipper as well porridge made to order staff great. Location was great in walking distance of town hall or city hall now. norman wisdom
