Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. United KingdomNo hard copy of the apartment guide. I spotted that a link to this had been included in one of the messages sent, before arriving. Unfortunately I missed this. We had a flashing light in the bathroom. I reported this by replying to one of the messages received, but didn’t realise this was the incorrect way to communicate until spotting the link. I accept that I should have spotted the link, but something in the apartment referring to it would be handy. Also an automated response saying that my message would not be read would have been helpful. All in all the apartment was nice, but Timm Property Management lack the personal touch.

United KingdomMore than one toilet roll would be good for the price. Steps up are really steep, but manageable for fit people. It does say in the description so I was aware but they are big and steep. Outside door wasn’t locked so didn’t need code. Instructions not very clear, should say flat is over the wall by your car, I went on a search as gate was open and I missed the small sign as looking up on door it says 27a. Very noisy in pub opposite bedroom windows when the music is blasting, you hear it every time someone opened pub door, but I did get to sleep. It’s a really nice flat, but I would like to have watched tv, ( yes it’s in the description) but not everyone has Netflix or prime. Yes I would book it again
It was right in the town, close to the beach, had parking. Bed comfortable Kitchen well equipped Nice towels Very clean. Has a parking space, I have a largish car but managed to get in space but had to climb out passenger side which was fine for me. On top of Indian restaurant but could only smell the spices outside.

AustraliaOnly had hand wash which was poor quality and no other products at all. Small uncomfortable beds, luckily there were two bedrooms, I am 6ft tall and both of us a fit and trim, The shower was small to get into, a large person wouldn't fit Door into toilet need to come off as a very small entry Curtains in bedrooms were cheap and didn't close very well. Stayed 3 nights and only 1 and 1/2 toilet rolls provided, that's fine but everything seemed to be run on a cheap budget. Hot water on a timer, I did ring host and he was very good in explaining what to do, there is a boost button to boost the temp, 2nd morning we had cold showers All other apartments we have stayed have a guest book explaining things about the apartments. Had to ring to find out WiFi code, same again put it in a guest book. Was £200 pound per night but was very disappointed.
The position was great.
