Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Excellent location with a great view. Comfortable, clean room serviced daily. Towels replaced halfway through a one week stay. Everything functioned well in en-suite bathroom.

United KingdomThe passageways smelled a little musty. The staircase ceiling had a bit of mould formation.
The place is very close to Ryde beach and waterfront and the view out the window is amazing. The rooms were near and tidy. The staff and the owner were very friendly and understanding.

United KingdomOnly things that would not affect a single male traveller ! Slightly dated decor and a faulty shower head
I was walking the IoW Coastal Path with a friend & Seahaven's position next to the transport hub was great The single room had all required facilities and the room was made up each morning ,which I found unusual but a nice touch

Location was great for bus 2 mins & boat travel 5 mins. Room was a good size. I booked breakfast as extra, this was nice to have before going out for the day & well worth it. The owners were lovely people I was very well looked after.

United KingdomThe place is very dated, but fairly clean, the shower was very touch and go with regards to water pressure and temperature. Also very cramped. The side of the shower was coming away from the frame. On the Friday and Saturday night of a very hot weekend a large group of youngsters seem to gather on the Promenade opposite, playing music and generally being very noisy until 2am making it impossible to sleep. Closed window but then room was far too hot, no aircon. These disturbances are not the owners fault obviously, but it is something to be aware of.
Lovely location and I had a great view of Ryde Pier and the Solent.

United KingdomOur room faced the sea, but the curtains let in too much light. Darker, less transparent curtains would help.
Breakfast was very nice. Excellent location. Useful advice about the locale..Friendly staff. Will go back.

United KingdomThe bathroom was very hot, but this was due to the location of the boiler. Even the cold tap ran warm water. This also made the bedroom a bit too warm, but otherwise, it was fine.
Fantastic location. Nice room. I had a couple of small problems and reported them to management. They responded very quickly.

United KingdomNothing. It's a standard seaside B&B, which could probably do with an upgrade in facilities, which are now getting old.
Good value B&B near ferry, station and central area. Staff welcoming and friendly. Nice breakfast.

United KingdomThe ensuite bathroom was a bit small and not a lot of pressure in the shower, but always had hot water.
The location of the Guest House is excellent and was lucky to get a room with a sea view looking over to Ryde sands and the pier. The room was a good size with hanging and drawer space for clothes. The people running the B&B were very friendly.

United KingdomBathroom was very hot - maybe extract needs inspection. Aluminium lip on shower was deceptive & we both hurt our feet - is it really necessary? Sometimes hot water came out of cold taps in sink /shower - maybe piping needs to be inspected.
Close to hovercraft terminal & bus station. Situated near shops & restaurants. On the promenade, near the sea & beach. Breakfast set us up for the day with various options. During our stay temperatures were in the 30's but staff provided a room fan.

United KingdomEn-suite very compact and dated, but again, clean and perfectly serviceable. Our room was on the top floor which meant four flights of stairs as no lift - ok for us, but not ideal for anyone with mobility issues.
Ideally situated on the water front close to the shops and plenty of nearby places to eat. Room was clean and cosy, basic but had everything we needed. Loved our sea view, was great watching the hovercraft coming and going as well as the train along the pier and the ferry in the distance. We booked room only for 4 nights as we were visiting family, didn’t have breakfast but it did smell amazing! Was worried the room might be too warm at night, but relieved to find a decent fan was provided so not a problem at all.
