Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomOnly one quibble. Hot rail for towels was cold. When we discovered it was cold the receptionist had left as it was about 11pm. Perhaps when we arrived should have been shown how to make it hot.
Very comfortable room. Lovely and quiet. Good selection of fruit and teas and nice to have a small bottle of prosecco.

NorwayThe toilet bowl did not look clean upon arrival and there was stains in the toilet that I easily scrubbed away with a toiletbrush, this is not something the guest should have to do.
Nice room and good positioning right by the beach and around 10 minutes walking away from the lanes. The staff was very friendly and it felt very secure!

Room was nice, quieter location than expected as it's very close to sea front. Parking is not easy to find - had to drive round a few times then found a space just outside the hotel. Ariving at 11 - 11.30am when guests were leaving was a good idea. Parking for 24 hrs £17.50.

United KingdomMy mum and I stayed here for 3 nights, and as soon as we arrived, we were made to feel very welcome - Daniela is amazing!! She helped us with our bags to our rooms, and throughout our stay was attentive and friendly, and always had time for a chat about our day. Our rooms were huge, and spotless, with a lovely seaview. We had everything we needed - fridge, fan, iron, hairdryer - and tea, coffee, biscuits etc were topped up every day. The beds were so comfortable, with lots of plump pillows. We had breakfast in their sister hotel two doors up. Delicious and lots of choice - hot cooked, eggs, bacon, etc, plus cereals, yogurts, cheese, hams, olives, and pastries. Another nice touch was the butter, jams, etc were served in dishes on the tables, not fiddly little sealed packages. The staff were amazing, especially Dragos who greeted us for breakfast each morning. Every member of staff we met were lovely, a great asset to the hotel. Just a short walk to the pier and seafront, about a 10 minute walk to the Royal Pavilion and The Lanes, and at the top of the road you'll find small supermarkets and cafés. A perfect place to stay, and will now be our go-to hotel whenever we stay in Brighton. Thank you Daniela and your team! X
