Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

GuernseyThe room we stayed in was spacious and had a lovely view but I found it very dusty. There were some dried out contact lenses stuck to the bathroom floor and I was checking out the candle that they offer for sale and it had been opened and covered in dust and had nail marks in it. I also liked when you used to walk into the hotel and it smelt amazing but they don’t do that anymore.
I’ve stayed here many times and always love the property - the location is great and the check in staff were friendly and helpful. I thought we got a great price on the room especially for a central London hotel. We didn’t get to eat in the restaurant this time and there was a private function in the rooftop bar which would have been nice to know at check in but not a big issue.

This was our second stay with Sea Containers. I loved having a view of the Thames from our room. The location is perfect for walking along the river, over to The Globe, The National Theatre, The Tate Modern, The Eye, the pedestrian bridges, central London. It is really lovely.

Room was spacious airy and well equipped and so comfortable., great attention to detail and thoughtful touches .We would recommend the restaurant for great dining and service simple menu but so flavoursome. New ZealandSomewhat expensiv which l ike all London facilities adds a service charge to everything which quickly mounts up. The very tiny print hidden away tells guests this is discretionary. It would be more honest to not add it to accounts until consent has been obtained. Staff need to be aware that term Tea can come in many non interchangeable varieties.
Good upmarket hotel, modern with all the update fittings. Fantastic views of the Thames. Strives hard to make things right for guests. Happy smiley place.location is ideal on the South Bank. Would I go back? Yes the location is fantastic for a tourist, but watch out for hidden costs.

AustraliaThe front desk staff weren't the most helpful. Parking situation is a bit weird but the guys there help get your car to where it needs to be. Parking is 50 pound per night. Asked for additional fees at the end to go towards staff which besides the bag guys no other staff went above and beyond to warrant that.
The baggage staff guys were lovely, very helpful. Great location. Comfy big bed with good bathroom amenities and products. Lifts were fast. Right in the heart of the city.
