The winding roads in and out were a little tricky in the dark, but aside from that it was the perfect stay location.

The only thing that we missed, and both me and my mom commented on it, it's not a criticism just a note that the bedrooms are missing a settee or 2 seats just so you have somewhere to sit and watch the tv rather than just lying on the bed. Apart from that we couldn't find any faults

The property is fantastic. We had a lovely 2 nights away. The property is perfectly located close to the seafront and about a 10 minute drive into Weston-super-Mare itself. The beds were very comfortable and the whole place just has a homely feeling to it rather than a holiday let.

The dining chairs are the only chairs. So we sat on the beds to read and watch TV. It isn't a big problem at all though because we were out and about most of the time.

I timed less than 3 minutes from door to sandy beach! It's wonderful. The property is spotless and everything is top quality. If you want a blank hotel, do not stay here because the property is clearly loved and cared for. It's like staying at your lovely aunt's place. Arrival milk, tea, coffee is thoughtful and everything we needed was in the kitchenette. Parking outside on the driveway was very easy. The nearby road is not at all busy. The whole area is peaceful but not isolated. There is a coastal bus if you need to go to Weston-super-Mare. Neighbours were all smiley and the man selling ice cream very near was welcoming, too. Sand Bay is quiet and we spent lots of time on the gorgeous sand beach. Buckets and spades are required!

I didn't like the fact we only booked for one night, we should have booked for longer .

I loved how clean everything was. Everything we needed was there for when we arrived. It was easy to contact our hosts to confirm our expected arrival time. The beds were extremely comfortable, so comfortable I didn't want to get out of the bed. There are two smart TVs, one in each bedroom and a good signal for WiFi and your phone or tablets. There is tea, milk, sugar and coffee there for when you arrive. The location is just yards from the sea with such beautiful surrounding views. I would recommend Sandy Retreat to anyone wanting home from home comforts. I didn't take pictures of all the accommodation just a few so they may not match the headings of which part of the accommodation the picture was taken .

It felt a bit strange not having a back entrance. However we learnt the property is still in the process of alterations. The only thing we found difficult was closing the front door as it didnt have a handle.

I went with a friend to break out journey to Cornwall. The location was perfect. The property was unique and we enjoyed reminiscing . Keeping past ornaments and features which were in such great condition made the stay different from the run of the mill self catering places. We said we would stay again.

Nothing in particular. Good distance from any supermarket but not a problem if you have a car. Cooker a little tricky to operate but that might be down to my limitations!

House was everything we needed for the weekend (family birthday celebration). Great location for the beach and a lovely walk along the coast. House was very clean and comfy. Our flight arrived in Bristol at 8.30 and Art very kindly contacted us to say as there was no one in the property the previous night we could check in as soon as we arrived. Very flexible on the check-out time also. All in all a fabulous weekend. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

The radiators were not working and no way of heating the whole place. There was a working fire place in one of the rooms so I let my friend take that room. Suggest giving guests access to adjusting heating.

The apartment was very clean and tidy. Had all the amenities you require. Access to apartment was easy. Only 100 yards from the Sandy beach. 10 mins drive to weston-super-mare. Nice quiet location and not far from cheddar. We enjoyed our stay. Would definitely come back.
