Stairs a little challenging for us to our room on the second floor; no parking (although aware of this, and not unusual for Appledore properties!)

Nothing really. Very minor niggle was that we expected more toiletries that were in the photos of the room - there was sufficient for our visit though.

We couldn’t connect to the WiFi

The location was fantastic. As was the comfy bed, low pillows, mugs, loo roll holder and towels. It was great to have a fridge in the room as well.

Hard to say - it was wonderful.

Location and look of the room. The vestibule smelt amazing and so did whatever the bedding and towels had been washed in! Sacha was so helpful too when we needed to move rooms. Would recommend Sailor’s rest!

Window didn't close properly as old sash but wasn't a problem. Clearly some damp issues making paint bubble a bit on one wall, but it didn't smell damp. Although the room is advertised for a disabled user, the door in is not really suitable for a wheelchair user - door too narrow and fire door catch too strong.

Comfortable twin beds, really big room and bathroom, convenient location, up to date decor. Perfect for a friend and myself to catch up as also comfy chairs and table, and a fridge for drinks.

Clean decorating was new perfect size and lovely shower room. Tea and coffee and a fridge with Milk and water lovely touch , bed really comfy and a fab view. We will definitely be back perfect location x

Our room was on the ground floor and the flooring on the first floor is apparently quite thin, so you will be able to hear people in the room upstairs walking. If you don't have specific plans for food or are planning to arrive after 20.00 I would recommend booking dinner in St.George, as finding food around the village in the evening might be a problem.

Really nice, spacious room with all amenities you may need. Big comfortable bed, even a coffee machine. Loved the check-in procedure: a real introvert 's dream! You get an email with codes for the door and the room key locker, do your documents online and don't need to interact with anyone whatsoever.

The large kingside bed could have been better & more comfortable. It is 2 large single put together and on one side it dipped which made it a little uncomfortable. The window shutters on right hand side window looking out of the room didn't close properly - the clasp was loose so didn't hold the shutters in place to close very well so we used folded clothing along the bottom to keep it closed. Single sash windows meant you could hear outside quite loudly but we understand and appreciate that those windows are in keeping with the building and area.

The cleanliness of the room was excellent. It was a really sweet gesture to have water and milk in the fridge on arrival as a welcome. Plenty of clean towels for us to use and the shower was the best! Beautiful views of the estuary, especially in the morning sunrise with the shutters open.

The bathroom of the bedroom on the top floor (3 flights of stairs!), there is a slight leak in the shower, but it caused no issue to functioning of the shower. The bedroom on the ground floor is on the road. Not noisy but do expect pedestrian and car traffic.

Excellent location. A short walk (10 minutes) to get breakfast was a shock to the kids, but well worth it as the food was excellent both days and the service very friendly.

The bed felt like it dipped in the middle and the mattress topper kept falling down the bed. The coffee was not great but very minor point
