Watch the NCP parking. To get it cheaper my wife downloaded the app, but it's very clear on how to get the cheaper rate on entry, and the attendant wasn't in the slightest bit helpful.

I've stayed before, quite a few times over the years at this hotel, in its various names, but stopped for a while as it had gone down quite a bit. Much better again, helpful staff and a great location.

The bathroom was a little small. The bath was nice, and I did make use of it to have a relaxing soak in the evening, but maybe due to the room available a power shower might be something to be considered to make a little more room. If using the WC then the toilet rolls were literally resting on my leg. Minor matter. Also there was no room safe for valuables, or if there was it was well hidden. If anything of value needed to be left then they had to be taken down to reception for security purposes. Room might be a little hot if staying peak summer time due to no air conditioning.

I have previously stayed at this hotel and will quite happily stay again. The actual location of the hotel is very good, right next to Nottingham Castle and is very easy to get to. The room was reasonably standard, with the main exception being there is no air conditioning. This could be an issue if staying peak summer and the temperature is high, but for when I normally visit late summer / autumn like is wasn't a problem. Room was quite large, with sufficient room for the inclusion of a sofa which was nice to use to view the TV when in the room. Bathroom was clean and tidy, actually had a proper bath installed which was a nice bonus, but obviously there was also shower fitted. If anything the bathroom was a little small, probably due to the inclusion of the bath but was perfectly acceptable for my needs. Breakfast was as expected. Usual selection of different types of breakfast food, from cereals through to full English. Restaurant area was okay, but if really busy it could seem a little crowded. No problem staying here again.

Location was very quiet and convenient, and bed exceptionally comfortable. Room wasn't particularly generously proportioned, but if you're not spending a great deal of time in there it was perfectly fine.

Don't order the pizza from the menu. It's ok but... Yeah not really. Get the salt and pepper squid instead.

Loved the location! 5-7 minutes walk from pretty much anywhere I had to go. The room was clean, the bathroom was clean, there was an amazing little heater in the room that worked wonders, the shower was hot the moment you turned it on and they provide little bottle of shampoo, shower gel and moisturizer lotion. Also there's a lavander spray next to the bed, it was a cute touch in my opinion. There's a kettle and few things for breakfast if you want but the hotel staff will ask you if you want to have breakfast.

Not being able to relax while eating breakfast, I appreciate your staff member was on hand to assist and tidy up but it felt like he was watching us all and tidying up plates felt like we were being rushed . I was in hospitality for nearly thirty years so I understand how breakfast service works . Be on hand to help but not hovering around tables !

Toilets were a bit too small. Toilet seat isn't easy to use for a heavier person. It's too close to the wall. Also the hotel is located up the hill so it's not easy to reach it if you have some heavy luggage and children. Although it's just 5 mins from the bus station but the incline is hard to manage with luggage.

Nice and clean rooms. We got a room upgrade at half price. Breakfast was excellent. Restaurant food was fairly good as well. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Close to city Centre and just next to the nottingham castle if someone is visiting for sightseeing.

The bed felt a bit hard, but getting that right is always difficult for a hotel.

Pleased with the fact that there was a kettle, coffee etc in theorem. Didn't use the iron/ironing board, although I was surprised to see one there. Bathroom was very clean, the water very hot, and towels good quality. I only had breakfast on the last day, but it was good value, and the options available in terms of fruit/yoghurt, cereals, cooked, a choice of three juices, all get a thumbs up. If I were to stay here again ( which I would happily do) then I would opt for breakfast included.

The sofa bed is very very bad quality. It is super uncomfortable for my son age 10- I suggest you try sleeping on it to see how it sinks in the middle with zero support on the sleeper’s back. The cooked breakfast was poorly done. The bakery was excellent but sadly not the cooked breakfast.
