There is a cafe where one can get a basic meal from a not so exciting menu, but as the closest shop is driving distance or a 30 minute walk, one is strapped for choice! Also have a very military attitude to making sure you vacate the room at 10:00 exactly!

The reception staff were friendly and welcoming, the rooms were clean and neatly decorated, I had sliding doors out onto a patio which was very pleasant extra.

Staff excellent. Fab breakfast in nice cafe bar. Lovely location. Great access to London via Roydon Station a 5 minute walk away. Plenty of free parking, even for larger vans. Highly recommend :-) Will be back!

The beds were so comfortable. We had room 5 and it was like our own tiny house. The surroundings are beautiful and there is an Indian restaurant on site. It was peaceful and the staff were friendly. Nice toiletries provided

No plug near the mirror for straighteners. No milk in room or fan and room was very hot overnight. BUT I have only put these as things for staff to be aware of I'd happily come back and recommend .

Things that could make this room value for money and in keeping with the modern decor:- - Dust the cobwebs away - Hoover the seat in the room and the headboard on the bed- they’ve got dust gathering

The room was very warm at night. We adjusted the thermostat and opened the patio door but I think the setting should be set a little lower as standard. The bed was quite firm. Didn’t bother my mum but it was a bit hard for me.

Room was brilliant, even had a small outdoor space which was convenient and lovely to sit in during the evening. Wasn’t sure what to expect for the price but it was great. Really well furnished and perfectly clean. Second time we’ve stayed at the marina and both times have been great. Out of hours staff/security who checked us in was really friendly and helpful. The food at the Indian restaurant attached to the hotel was delicious and good value too. The boathouse cafe was perfect for breakfast and the walk around the marina was lovely.

The duvets were FAR too heavy and warm for summer months. You should consider providing very lightweight duvets with an extra blanket in the wardrobe for those who need it. Unfortunately nearly all hotels I have stayed in suffer from this same problem. We stayed for 3 nights. The beds were not made on any of the days. On the first day the room was serviced and towels replaced. On the second day the room was not serviced at all. Cups and glasses not washed, beds not made, bathroom not cleaned. We were sitting outside when the cleaners were around but they did not ask to go in our room while we were there, and we were out for most of the rest of the day so they had plenty of time to clean the room.

The room was attractive and quite nicely furnished. Twin beds were a good size. The staff were courteous and friendly. The location was attractive. The shower and hot water were great. Good size bath sheets. Quiet location (Room 6). Also the windows fully opened to let in fresh air in which was good, and there was a fan available.

Although we were aware and understood we had a car park view, but had a table and chairs with patio doors, but very disappointed that the table was covered in previous cigarette ash, the plants have not been maintained in the flower boxes separating the rooms outside space and the area was in need of a good sweep and TLC, shame as everything else was all good.
