Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Perfect location, only minutes from train station. Central for walking to all attractions in Oxford. Generic rooms but very comfortable and clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful, taking my large case to the room. Good security. Didn't use the adjoining cafe.

The reception were most friendly and helpful! No lift but they helped with the luggage. Room 207 was spacious with fantastic panoramic view facing the train station. Very clean and comfortable bedding and room. Hot choc, cookies, still and sparkling water refilled daily. Off site parking only 10GBP per day (no multiple entries). Advise for car park : get address from hotel first, park at long term car park, 2min short walk and easy to pull big luggage to hotel, check-in and pay for the parking at hotel (via app). Good value overall.

United StatesOur room was not ready when we arrived, since it was before check-in so we left our luggage and went off to explore the area. I was dreading carrying my heavy suitcase up the stairs because there is no lift, but to my surprise, when we went back to the hotel, the the staff had already carried our bags to our room. So really, not a negative at all.
The room was a large size compared to most English hotels and was very clean. It was very comfortable and could have slept many more than our party of three. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating.

It's very close to the railway station and only a 5-minute walk to the city centre, but it's very quiet. My room was clean, spacious and comfortable, and had everything that a visiting academic could need. The staff are lovely and very helpful.
