They were renovating which really couldn’t be helped at all. Our toilet seat had been painted and it had like bubbled up which looked a little grim lol

I think the location is great you’re in the centre of everything and you are right beside the trams to get up and down onto the beach during the day. The mini fridge in the room made our drinks ice cold. Hotel lobby staff and the lobby bar staff were really helpful and friendly

Room service was not operational Restaurant is under refurb so very limited open times and menu Entertainment was good but finished very quickly The bar closed early We think all of the above is due to low season, but hopefully, when we return, we will see the difference in peak season.

Easy friendly, informative check-in. Lovely room, spacious, clean, and warm with a nice variety of tea and coffee. The mini fridge was a welcome bonus for keeping our drinks cold. Staff were helpful. Great location for beach, arcades, eateries, and town centre. Lift to all floors Beautiful hotel inside. Lovely sea view from the third floor.

We wanted a drink in the bar, but it wasn’t open till 5 o’clock . no Wi-Fi in the hotel without paying for it . On the menu in the bar, it said room service, but when we asked there was none Plus early hours in the morning door keeps on banging

I always try and be fair, Price I don't think it was worth the extra cost. I've stayed in the grand a few times and they match on quality and facilities. There was moths in the cups in the room, the bed was two singles pushed together which left that uncomfortable gap in the middle. The quilt was like a double quilt in a king-size quilt cover so didn't quite cover the bed. I think it is slightly overpriced and should come into line with the grand.

Beautiful reception, nice large bar and lounge area. Staff where lovely.

The score would have been much higher if we had stayed room only, the breakfast was a massive disappointment. It was cooked to order but half of it was cold, coffee machine had no milk & wasn’t seen to while we were there. When asked for some bread for toast was told there might not be any, before a few slices were brought out. The carpet in our room was uneven & in need of replacing & coffee machine in room didn’t work but room was good overall.

Great location, bed was comfortable, good shower, the room was warm which was important because it was very cold when we were there,fridge in room plus we had a sea view.

Bar closed till 5.30 so no drinks to be had closed at 10,ridiculous for a hotel ,very short breakfast time 8 till 8.30 so mad morning rush no time to get up and turn around needs to be at least 8 till 9.30 I understand it was out of season but all guests need the same treatment not just high season and when I pay for a sea view I don't expect to have to strain to see it very poor veiw

the room was very hot when we arrived abit uncomfortable as we cudnt turn the radiators down and the mini fridge didn't work as we brought drink 😞 and the side bed draws were still sticky of previous spilt drinks but apart from that it was a pleasure stopping there 👍

Our room was very spacious with plenty facilities and harbour facing the bar is very cosy and the bar staff were very pleasant 😊
