Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

New ZealandOpening windows allowed good airflow in, as no air conditioning in room, however restaurant kitchen extraction system below us. This ran from 6:30am til 9pm so some kitchen smells and extraction fan noise - however not too difficult to live with. Have stayed in accommodation with similar room rate where a cooked breakfast was included
Great location. Free parking right next to the hotel was fabulous. Only one flight of stairs to take our bags to. (Grade 2 heritage building so no lift) Ice bucket with ice provided if needed- no fridge in the room. Great continental breakfast

United KingdomLocation was perfect, right in the centre of town for dinner and drinks but only a short drive to the nearest beach. Room was very clean and coffer and biscuits were replenished! Dinner was amazing, and staff friendly. Had a lovely time :)

United KingdomThe public lounge was a bit cold as the windows were left open all the time but other than that nothing!
The room was comfortable and very well maintained. The continental breakfast was full of variety and was well presented. All the staff I encountered, reception, cleaning staff and restaurant staff were very pleasant and welcoming. Would definitely recommend and would stay there again in the future. The location was very central to the city and therefore easy to get there on foot. Parking was secure and next to the hotel for ease of transporting luggage.

United KingdomThe only down thing was the lack of a lift, although help was offered if required. In keeping with most UK hotels, the lack of a room fridge was a little inconvenient.
The staff were very helpful & friendly. The room was very comfortable with the hotel in a very good location. The continental bfast available was also very good.

United KingdomWe still think that the hotel needs updating. Downstairs is fine but the access to bedrooms is dated and tired.
The room was very comfortable although with a dangerous low beam. The breakfast was very good although the cooked options were very expensive. The location is perfect for the bus station and the city restaurants.

ItalyRoom was very hot and small. It is ok if you literally go there only to sleep. .the duvet on the bed was way too heavy for the season. There was a menu on the desk in the room and it was very dirty with coffee and mug stains. We also found a card of some sort of restaurant on the floor, which made me think the room wasn't cleaned properly. The toiletries are of terrible quality. The shampoo made my hair feel like hay. And it was scarcely enough for the two of us. Of course, no doubt they would have given us another one if we needed it but we booked a double, it was two of us so you would expect a bit more quantity, considering also how much we paid for one night. Temperature of water in the shower wasn't constant so you have to constantly adjust it. Pastries at breakfast didn't feel fresh.
Location. Breakfast is ok, but simple.

United KingdomBed was a little firm, but obviously this is subjective. Also the two ‘permanent’ seagulls directly outside our window (flat roof) were so loud for most of the morning and through much of the night! Again, not the hotel’s fault.
Breakfast, restaurant meal, general atmosphere, staff helpfulness/attitude/friendliness. Great secure parking and very central for theatre, markets, shops etc.

United KingdomThe room was a bit small and the seagulls in the car park were definitely a watch out - I was grateful for the hose to wash down the car! It would have been nice for breakfast to finish at 10am rather than 9.30 as it made fitting in a run in the morning a bit rushed.
The hotel was wonderful with really friendly staff and perfectly located in the centre of Truro. This made accessing all areas so easy. The room was fine albeit a little small but it had everything we needed. The breakfast was excellent and the city centre parking was a real bonus.

United KingdomThe only criticism is that the full breakfast is a bit pricey, but it is very nice.
This is a great place to stay in the centre of Truro. Very convenient for the main pubs and shops in the centre. The room was very clean with a modern feel, the staff were very friendly. The car park is surprisingly large for such a central location. I think we had always assumed that this hotel would be much more expensive than it is, we will definitely stay here again :)

United KingdomRoom was initially very hot when we got in on our arrival day as window was closed and our room didnt have Air Con. We were provided a desk fan though. Hotel does have air con but only on the 3rd floor. We were on the second floor too, so prepare for a leg workout! We were also at the front of the hotel so had to keep the window open all the time for fresh air, including when we were asleep. There wasnt alot of noise coming from street level but there was some up untill about half 11 at night. Didnt cause a big issue but was noticeable.
Hotel was very clean, Staff were nice and helpful when needed. Restaurant and food were wonderful, and made a good start for our holiday. Had a good stay overall.
