There was no charging sockets by the bedside, and the sockets on the wall were a little too high with no extra support to put devices on.

The location of the hotel is perfect where it is literally just 10 mins walking away from the beach. The room was very clean. Also the breakfast was fantastic with various of options for different preferences.

room quite small for a weeks stay,small shower room,massive comfortable warm double bed,room nice and clean.breakfast was 5*.we only dinner on one evening and that to was 5*.we enjoyed our stay.

Not enough free 13A socket outlets in my bedroom. Had to disconnect the bedside table lamp to provide a 13A socket outlet for charging my phone & had to alternate it to charge my i-Pad. Replacing a 2 gang 13A extn socket by a 4 gang version would have solved the problem. I fully realise that the Royal’s infrastructure is old & not easily modernised.

The full breakfast organisation was very good. Hot food really was hot.

Because the hotel is old, it could do with some updating. But that is part of its charm and character.

The location was great, a short walking distance into the main town centre and there was ample parking. The hotel was old but full of charm. The meals/food was good and great value.

Room and breakfast was good , staff very friendly. Only issues were car parking. There was no clear structure to where to park , cars were parked quite widely and if there were lined bays then more cars would have been able to park . At the entrance we arrived, we could not park at all or get to turn around, there was a car parked in such a way that no one could get in or out , ( this was as we now know the back entrance) we had to wait for such a long time to find a space and wait till this driver moved his car , we were delayed but quite some time trying to get booked in because of this , another driver had to go speak with staff to find the owner of this vehicle to then come and remove it , wasn't the best start to be honest, then once it had been removed, we then found out there is a bigger car park around the other side of the hotel , again no one told us , it was another guest who came over and told us where to go . So more clear signage as to where to park. We went round and found the 2nd carpark but that was full up too so again we had to wait , it was quite busy with people booked in for Sunday lunch and not actual staying guests .

Single room was tiny and bed was not a full size single . Bed was uncomfortable Would not recommend the single rooms - they are awful.

The cooked breakfast was ok, but wasn't keen on the sausages and bacon but that was probably just me.

The room was lovely and the bed was very comfortable. We had the best nights sleep, it was so quiet too.
