We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United KingdomOnly negative we found was the bed was pushed to the wall so one of us had to crawl over but that's due to space so we can't complain at that!
The staff were lovely from the get go. The room was clean, shower was great. Had dog bowls and bedding for our dog which was an extra treat! Breakfast choice of in the restaurant or the room was a game changer! The room was clean! Slightly small but we can't complain at that! Staff were helpful, food and drink are a reasonable price. Tea and coffee and biscuits were always stocked! The place was just a lovely, homey vibe and it was comfortable!

The hotel, staff and room was fantastic. It exceeded our expectations. The breakfast was a full English and cereal, granola and pancakes. You could order as much as you liked. You only had to ask for something for the room and it was there. Nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend the Royal as we will be going back. The hotel is dog friendly and a welcome pack is left for your furry friends. Our dog loved it. The hotel is situated in the heart of Barmouth and close to all amenities.

Location was perfect, right in the centre of Barmouth, every member of staff was so welcoming, attentive and happy. Food was excellent and very good prices, room had everything you needed for a dog friendly hotel, dog bowls, biscuits, blanket and towel, nice little touches of sweets in the hallways

The Royal is situated so conveniently to Barmouth beach and seaside town. The accommodation is very comfortable and has everything you need in the room, even lovely hot chocolate sachets! The bathroom is clean and you have a lovely hot shower. You have a lovely choice of breakfast in the morning which was very nice. The staff are very friendly and i will definitely be staying again.

United KingdomThe location was great 2 mins from the beach and town, the room was lovely and had nice little touches like coffee/tea, dog accessories and treats for our pooch, shower was great, new bathroom, the included breakfast was really nice and you could request for you’re breakfast in you’re room or go downstairs to the restaurant with the dog, good veggie options too. We also enjoyed dinner and drinks there Saturday night and the food was lovely and all very fair prices. The entertainment and bar area was great. Staff friendly and helpful. No issues atall.

Great location for local amenities. A very friendly welcome. We’ve stayed here before and requested the same room (no. 1), which were given. A lovely well appointed room, clean spacious and a very comfortable bed. Good bathroom with excellent shower. An excellent breakfast, lots of choice which you choose the night before. The pub has a great atmosphere, some good well kept cask ales on. A good choice on the evening menu. It’s best to reserve a table. On Friday and Saturday nights they sometimes have live music, which adds to the already great atmosphere. If you’re a light sleeper you might like to take ear plugs. We were on the first floor and the sound wasn’t disturbing

CanadaOnly problem for me was the room was way up. 65 steps and stairs to get there. I am 79 so did not enjoy the trip up and down .
Breakfast was excellent, unfortunately I missed half because of early train schedules. Room was large, comfy with a large screen tv. Bathroom was modern which was great. Also it was right beside the train station and the beach was less than 5 minutes walk away.
