Needs updating in places, couch wasn't very comfortable. No soundproofing between cabins so you can hear every noise and conversation from either side. Mattress too soft for my preference.

The sofa was uncomfortable and quite small. We were disturbed by the neighbours talking in the middle of the night.

Great location. The cabin was quipped with everything you need and had a good amount of space for two people. The staff were lovely.

Only two minor issues which I believe are going to be rectified. Oven in cooker took a long time to reach temperature and soundproofing between lodges could be improved. Neither of these minor issues will stop us from returning.

We liked the whole place, very friendly and chatty owner. Location outside the town is very quiet. Very handy for fishing in local rivers and lochs. Hillwalkers will love the closeness of quite a lot of mountains

The kitchen is a bit dated, but I assume next to be renovated to be in line with the new shower room, which is very nice.

At first realising it was joined on to other lodges but it was nt a problem in the end and we would definitely return.

Was lovely location very comfortable and great value for money. Our dogs loved it as much as we did.We had a very chilled time just what we needed.

Could have been cleaner walls was covered in dust. Behind bed side tables desperately needs cleaned. Was so dusty and full of spider webs and spiders. Behind sofa looked like it had never been cleaned. Put my allergies through the roof.

Decor & soft furnishings & carpet are a bit dark & drab, making 1st impressions walking in a bit disappointing. Never saw any staff even when looking for them to pay for electricity.

Surrounding green areas are well kept & beautiful.

Its a wooden lodge so its quite dark and the light in a living room was not enough.

Loved the location close to many beautiful places. Good bathroom. Squirrels feeder in front of our window made it very special. Pet friendly place, no issue with checking in and out!

The scenery from the front room was spectacular!! We even had Barn Swallows nesting above our front door which just added to our stay.

The walls were paper thin and you could hear everything your neighbours were saying and watching on TV. Rowan lodges are actually terraced chalets not traditional lodges and we felt the images shown are not a true reflection of what it is like to stay there. We felt there was limited privacy, there wasn't really a private area to relax. On an evening we could not hear our TV due to the sound of both neighbours TV channels. It was really unpleasant. Extra costs are given on arrival, £30 for dog, £14 for electricity and £5 for towels which aren't accurately reflected on booking.coms advert. This was meant to be a relaxing trip for us and we actually ended up departing a day early as we couldn't deal with another evening of listening to someone else's TV and voices. The neighbours were not at fault at all, they should be allowed to talk and watch TV on holiday, the paper thin wooden walls however need urgently looked at. The accomodation is very basic for the price.

Good location for exploring Killin and surrounding areas. Nice walks nearby for dogs.

I didn't like the old smell that lingered in the lodge it put me off eating anything in there or spending much time at all In the pictures it looks like a stand alone lodge and it is connected to other ones and the noise is not great. I was woken by the neighbour talking in their bed and I don't feel they were particularly loud.

WIFI was slow to non-existent but you have to expect that in such a location and to be honest it was nice to do without it for the week! The phone signal was good with O2.

Location perfect for travelling all through the Highlands and a 5 minute drive or about 20 min walk into the village. Good parking and owners very friendly and helpful. Quiet location even though nearly all the lodges were full. Would certainly recommend as other holiday lets in this area are much more expensive and not as well located.

On arrival, an overpowering stench hit us as we opened the door. At first glance, it seemed tidy enough but on further inspection the whole place was in need of a deep clean. For example, my partner picked up the cushions and the dust that came off was unbelievable. There were no towels or toilet paper, too! I simply pointed this out to the owner in passing but she became immediately defensive (then aggressive) when I brought this up with her, looking for every excuse or explanation. They also charge extra for electricity. Be warned, you will use A LOT as the place is very dark and dingy.

Thankfully, the bedding was clean.

website showed that the lodge was a stand alone property but it was a block of 4 with paper thin walls. It was very cold on arrival , thought the heating could have been switched on given the time of year it was. Description stated a extra large king size bed yet it was obviously 2 singles pushed together which came apart during the night and my feet were sticking out the bottom! Had problems getting the TV to work and the contact number on a print out on the wall for advice had a telephone number which didnt work.
