The room was comfortable, warm and well appointed. Breakfast was tasty, as were the evening meals we had. All in all a very pleasant stay at a place which deserves recommendation.

Beautifully decorated & furnished rooms which were spotlessly clean. Brilliant hospitality tray with variety of teas, filter coffee, chilled bottled water, fresh milk & biscuits. Quiet location. Friendly staff. Good food in the pub.

The main problem was the steep steps up to the room. Very hard to take your bags up to your room. The room was small and nowhere to put your bags. Had to put them on chairs and that blocked the door to get in and out of the room.

The breakfast was great very filling. The dinner the night before was also very good and lots of food.

The room was beautifully fitted out and very comfortable with everything you could need including fresh milk and a cafetiere and ground coffee to make proper coffee. The breakfast was lovely too - very generous with quality ingredients. We recommend this for an overnight stay. It was perfect as a stop on our way back home.

Lovely rooms, the bed was very comfortable and the room had a large en suite with a great power shower. Tea and coffee facilities in the room with extra fresh milk and bottled water in a small fridge in the reception area that you can help yourself to. The menu for both breakfast and daytime/evening meals had lots of choices and the food was cooked to perfection, very generous portions too. Private parking is also available

The accommodation at the Rose and Crown was excellent and could not be faulted. Well-appointed modern rooms with all the right touches; fresh coffee, tea, biscuits and bottled water. Wonderful bathroom and shower and a comfortable bed. We ate in the restaurant in the evening, sampling the fish and chips and home-made Cottage pie with a couple of pints of Butcombe bitter. The breakfast in the morning was also excellent. Staff were friendly and welcoming. This is somewhere I would definitely recommend.

Mobile data connection is not great which can affect paying taxi by card but there is free WiFi in the property so for personal use the mobile data is not an issue. The mobile data issue is of course not the establishments fault and is due to lack of mast cover I the area.

The Rose & Crown exceeded our expectations in every way including value for money. Excellent breakfast in the morning which set us up for the day to the extent that we did not eat again until dinner in the evening. Very good facilities in the bedrooms with real coffee and complimentary bottled water. The real ale in the bar was also kept in excellent condition. We will definitely book here again if we are going to the Poole area.

Door slammed shut noisily and the bed head banged on the wall when you turned over in bed

Seems to be recently refurbished and the facilities were lovely. They provided extra little touches like a communal fridge with bottles of water and a bottle of milk for tea/coffee with little jugs to take it back to the room. Lovely breakfast.
